"The sales rep acted like I was interupting his day and was very short in discussing the racks Northern had listed online. If he was a salesman working for me he'd be fired. Anyway I ordered $7000 dallars in racks from a competitor at a fraction of the price."
"Pretty sure this is the only review I have ever written — $999.99 for incorrect Honda motor. $177 shipping $200 return shipping $150 restocking fee Motor was not even removed from pallet and is still in original packaging. Northern tool does not care about their customers at all. We have 6 of these motors in use and have purchased a few through northern in the past(typically with free shipping) I made the mistake on this order by ordering incorrect size and understand it isn’t fair for them to pay return shipping. But restocking fee? $550 in extra fees on a $1000 purchase? “It is a factory shipped item sir…” Doesn’t that mean you literally do nothing but fwd the order to someone else? This is why it costs more? Oh ok thank you for your help! I will never purchase anything from these people again. When I called to inquire about identifying correct engine, I was told there is no way to determine engine sizes based on numbers stamped on engine block. So I would say incompetent and inconsiderate. Found correct motor listed cheaper and with faster free shipping from Equipatron. Save your money and don’t buy in to “small family owned business” it means nothing. I hope someone reads this ✌️"
"So sick and tird of receiving my shipped product in messed up boxes. Can't even packed correctly but can over charge for shipping. Not depended product not dependable associates. If anything every last associates from theanager to the leads need to be trained. Such a disappointment. Secure it's not."
"So we picked up a generator from a different location for a road trip to California with our RV…it wouldn’t start, so we drove 90 minutes to try and get the situation resolved at this location. They checked out the generator, even took it back and troubleshot it! Then they said the oil sensor was broken, so they gave me a new one off of the shelf. (I purchased the broken one a week ago). They even replaced the oil. Out of all the options they had to handle this, they picked the one that was considerate of our situation and time. We can go back to boondocking! Thanks so much!"
"AVOID BUYING FROM NORTHERN TOOL CO AS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU / THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! On 9/26/23 my wife ordered a chainsaw from Northern Tool for my birthday. Their deliver co., FedEx left the package on the curb, next to the road below a sign we have written on our gate stating "Delivery gate to the left". When I arrived an hour after receiving the delivery notice, the package was gone, which is highly suspect as we've lived in our rural community 20 years without loss, theft or misplaced packages when delivered daily/weekly by Amazon, USPS or UPS. FedEx was dismissive about the loss so we attempted to contact the company that hired them (i.e. Northern Tool Co), to help and to make us whole. FedEx said all we had to do is contact Northern Tool and file a loss package claim and that between them the problem would be settled. Northern Tool told us via email record (NT Drop Ship Dept. Rep.=K) that they have no responsibility and that "FedEx will have to compensate you for your loss". Approximately 30 days later and nobody from either Northern Tool or FedEx being willing to answer our calls, emails and/or attempts to receive the equipment we spent over $400 on and never received at no fault of our own. Most/all other companies would do the right thing and 1)hire shipping companies that don't use bad judgement by leaving packages on the road when instructions to deliver to a gate for packages is present (see attachment) and 2) they would hold their shipping company accountable when they are derelict and fail to responsibly perform their duties and 3) take care of a good paying customer to ensure their satisfied and loyal in the future. We have a file and additional records to substantiate our case or unfortunate experience for anyone wanting to learn more..."
