"Terrific Al Pastor tacos. Great smoky flavor, tangy/sweet/salty balance is perfect, nice and crispy edges with properly rendered fat, while still being tender. Very friendly service, too. Haven’t found a better Al Pastor in Austin. Tinga taco is okay. Not bad, but not anything to write home about either. Al Pastor, though, definitely. Atmosphere is about what you expect for a higher-end food court. Neither here nor there. Music was a little loud, but that’s the building management, not this place’s doing. Overall, I would recommend this place. Clean, friendly, delicious Al Pastor. What more do you need?"

"Taco Pegaso in The Fairground Austin was pretty good although a little too greasy for my liking. The al pastor tacos though are great. The queso was a thick and had I not known, I would have thought vegan queso because of its consistency but tasted good."

"Soooo good! Drove downtown from South Austin to find a place to eat at night around 8:00 pm that wasn’t upscale because we were in plain clothes. The menu on the Fairground Food Court website wasn’t working but decided to try this place on a whim. So glad we did. The previous review said to get the tacos with the corn tortillas and he was right! Authentic taste! Got the picadillo taco and it was awesome. My favorite taco. Both the green and red salas are homemade and really good! The carne asada taco was also very good. They let us order the quesadilla with carne asada instead of chicken and it was great. The pineapple agua fresca was also delicious. The queso wasn’t the best. It was a little too thick and chunky. Good flavor, but too thick. My wife even ordered extra tacos to go for work the next day. Will be back."
