"I took my daughter to get her hair styled the Monday before thanksgiving. By the time we got home, not even an hour after leaving the salon, more than half of the rubber bands in her hair had busted and her hair was coming undone. I reached out and spoke to one of the managers, to which she asked me to bring her back in to fix it. I told her there was no time as her dad was taking her out of town the next morning for the holidays. I kindly requested atleast a partial refund for just the style, not the wash. She asked me to email her pictures of my daughters hair to which I did immediately. I have now sent a follow up email and still have received no response. I understand this is a school and the services are priced fairly. I do not think it is right however, paying for a service that lasted all of 20 minutes and no one seems to be trying to make it right. Waste of money."
"If I could leave this school no stars I definitely would because the way that this so called "school" is run is a damn joke. I attended night classes for the esthics program from September 2022 to August 2023. I paid out of pocket, never missed a payment, and completed all 750 hours required to graduate. In phase 1 I had an amazing instructor who taught me a big chunk of the knowledge that the rest of the instructors failed to teach us throughout the other phases. If she didn't do the favor to my class of teaching us more than she should've in the first few weeks we all would have struggled more than we did. During phase 2 is where this school failed me and all of the people in my class and this is where we lost a lot of girls from our phase. We went through 3 different instructors and hardly learned anything in a cohesive manner because we literally had 3 different people teaching us. Half way through phase two we are required to take a test over micro-dermabrasion treatments; NOT ONCE did we see a microderm machine but one day before the actual exam, which let me remind you is REQUIRED in order to phase up to 2B. Not only that but the treatment that was demonstrated to us was demonstrated by A STUDENT who was already in 2B. Nobody else in my class even laid a finger on that machine and we were required to use our classmates during the demonstration of the test. Even after complaining about this clear lack of care for our safety or education we were told that we would still have to perform the microderm service we were never taught in order to move on, if not we would remain in phase 2A. For phase 3 and 4 I ended with two instructors, thus now making me have the professional opinion from 6 different people, which in my opinion clearly shows the disorganization and poor turnover rate. The learning experience for phase 3 and 4 was very mediocre solely based on the fact that instructors need to actually give the students the time to take notes and digest the material instead of running through it and allowing us to sit with no instruction for and hour, sometimes more, until we leave. Aside from the hands on learning that my first phase 3/4 instructor gave us we lacked the understanding of material despite us passing the lesson challenges and tests. The last instructor we had, MRS SHARITA, was actually the worst instructor we had. She came in originally as a guest speaker and then showed up the following day as our new instructor. She was very rude, and belittled us by telling us everything we knew was wrong and spoke down on our past instructor who did what he could with what he had. To continue this note on unprofessional instructors at this school, I have video footage which I will attach below of an instructor yelling and arguing with a student WHO WAS ON THE CLOCK, in a break room full of other students and also just feet away from clients, her name is MRS. YUBI. I also want to add that we always lacked the necessary supplies for clients and for our learning such as wax sticks, soap to wash implements, cotton rounds, un-rusted steam machines, etc. These are things that should be ordered by someone weekly which they clearly lacked. There was a time around Christmas where I and some other girls asked if we were able to have a potluck which we were denied, however there had been many times before where the administration of the school sold food to students that WAS NOT prepackaged and that was prepared by them for money. Which we sent to somebody from administrations Cashapp, super professional Ogle. We were told it went against TDLR regulations and anything sold inside of the school needed to be STORE BOUGHT. If this is the case why did the administration have a literal barbecue outside of the school? (I will include photos) But, they also served the food uncovered to staff in the middle of a construction zone with hanging wires from the ceiling and floor dust from a sander that was being used at the time. This, among other things, is extremely unsanitary and unsafe for anybody. DO NOT waste your time or money here!"
"I had my hair done by Gabrielle (Gabby) and she did a fabulous job!! She exceeded all of my expectations!! I highly recommend going to Ogle & booking Gabby!! From what I could tell, the instructors were very helpful and hands on if a student needed help. I also didn’t have to wait long as I did make an appointment beforehand! All around a great experience!!"
"I saw Brandi Geter at Ogle on Park Row and I absolutely LOVE the cut and style!! Everyone there was so friendly too. Here is a little before and after, thank you Brandi!"
"I would like to update with additional informational regarding this Ogle School location at 2200 W Park Row, Arlington Texas 76013. There are sanitation issues that a official authority should follow up with. This should be 1st and foremost a standard practice in a beauty school having on hand a plentiful of soap, paper towels and gloves among other necessary items for student to perform services and training using standard practice sanitation. Keeping the floors swept and mopped daily should be a priority but I've never once in 6 months seen the floor being mopped or cleaned not once. The school should be a safe environment always but especially during renovations, however we were subjected to dust from the renovation, fumes of unknown, hanging electrical wires, debris and equipment and tools laying around. And classes were in session while moving all around the mess. I have attached photos. Please, consider all of your options when selecting your school, this location is a disaster and the administration at this facility with the exception of two people just haven't what it takes to master a school producing values and expectations of success listed in there own policy handbook, which are pretty basic: Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Service to the Customer. Training and development isn't student-centered and definitely not of the highest caliber, at least not at this particular location in Arlington Texas. I recently completed and earned my hours at this location. So I consider my opinion of all mentioned first hand knowledge. Best of luck to who pursue studies here. Sincerely, Honey"
