"Disclaimer to this review, I am comparing my experience to what I had at Pressed Roots. Para Lee Boyd is cheaper and closer to my home so I brought my cousin in the day before her maternity shoot. Upon arrival to the salon, we walked in to what felt like a sauna. It turns out the a/c was broken. Imagine being 6 months pregnant and finding out the a/c doesn't work at an establishment you should be relaxing in. I asked if there was any water and there wasn't any. The first thing they do at Pressed Roots is offer you water, champagne, or a green juice. Even if this wasn't the norm for PLB, an exception should have been made that day. I left to go grab some waters to get her thru the appointment. The stylist, Qui, had a mini fan and allowed my cousin to use it thru the appointment. Qui was very personable and knowledgable about hair and paid great attention to detail. She worked very quickly and efficiently and is probably the reason I will give the salon another chance. The location and price is very convenient, however, you can't operate in Texas with no a/c. Management should have made adjustments if they weren't going to reschedule the appointment, bring in an industrial fan so clients are comfortable, offering water would have been the easiest thing to do considering there is a grocery store in the same shopping center. I hope management takes these things into consideration should this happen again in the future."

"Has become a regular stop for my hair & self-care goals. The atmosphere is always relaxing, and the blow & go service means I can get back to business quickly! As a 4C girl who is terrible with hairstyling, it's important to have a place that gives me everything my natural hair needs. "The customer service was good, the service was amazing but they more staff. The 2 workers here haven’t had a break all day, nothing to drink nothing to eat. They are waiting on the receptionist to go to the store just to get them some water. It reminds me of a sweat shop, these ladies need a fridge that’s stocked up, they need snacks and they need breaks. Find a way to integrate Breaks into their schedule. My appointment was an hour ago I’m still waiting but I don’t mind I expect to wait when I’m getting my hair did, let’s treat the workers better. Customers can wait, this poor lady walking with her back bent over she can barely walk her back is hurting so bad she hasn’t had anything to drink since she came in . They haven’t had any break I don’t like this… I will not come back until there is a fridge and snack spot added for the workers and a break integrated in their schedule. It’s so many ppl in here waiting on 2 workers. Who are clearly distressed tired thirsty n hungry this isn’t china do better"
