At time of booking, your website asks for notes. I mentioned shorter corners. My stylist didn’t make a mistake. Now you are making excuses for your negative behavior. I was honest & transparent from the start. Leaving a review is worth my time since it’s how myself and others determine whether or not to go to an establishment for services. After a week vacation with salt and sand! If you get lash extensions you understand that that is not good for them. My normal lash lady could not get me in as soon as I got back home. I came across Areli at Bel. I checked her reviews and there didn’t seem to be much more recent than 1 to 3 years. Her website advertised 1 hour & 15 minutes for volume refills at $80 with a $30 requirement at booking. (It’s now 1 hr) I paid the $30 and booked. Upon arriving to her room I noticed it was VERY dilapidated. I explained to her that it had only been 9 days since my last refill, but that I had been on vacay and had MAJOR fallout. She didn’t say much and proceeded with the appt. At the end of the appt she said I owed 60.00. I payed her and left a tip. She did a decent job. It was a 90.00 refill charge instead of 80.00, but totally didn’t mind since I was definitely less than 50%. I resumed with my original lash lady after that. About a month later there was a situation where my lady couldn’t get me in at the 2 week mark, I didn’t want to go past my 2 weeks. I again went online to Bel lashes and made an appt. At the end of my appt she charged 90.00. I paid that + tip. At the time I didn’t say much, but was confused. I decided to reach out to Areli and ask her NICELY, why I had been charged more than what her website stated. After a text saying that it was because I came in with sparse lashes each time. I did not agree. The 1st time, YES. The 2nd time, no. I was at least at 50% and I came in at the two week mark. I asked her if I was going to be charged extra IF I were to book with her again since the soonest she could get me in was 2 days after the 2 week mark. I was curious. We text back-and-forth once or twice more before she decided to call me. I answered and AGAIN I spoke nicely. No sense in being rude as I don’t think there’s anything wrong with anyone asking why they are being charged a different amount from what was on their website. Shortly after I answered, she began to be very rude to me. She told me that I did not understand the work of a lash stylist. I told her that I agreed and that I knew that it was a tedious job. She told me that she does not nickel and dime her clients. Yet she did tell me I would be charged extra for the two days past the two week mark. And she charged me an extra $10 because she said I was less than 50% which I was not. My problem is the fact that she never told me from day one that I would be charged differently and then continue to charge me differently, and then got a horrible attitude with me when I asked her to explain the charge. She told me that if she was not in my budget that I could go somewhere else. I was absolutely surprised that she said that to me, but I kept my cool. Maybe she had a bad day. I explained to her that I simply wanted to understand the fees. She said, I don’t know why this is a problem now because you never said anything before. She then proceeded for a SECOND time to tell me that if she was not within my budget, then I was welcome to go somewhere else. At that point, I was ticked off to say the least. I informed her that I would not be returning for services and that I would leave a review. She kept talking faster and over me and said, yes ma’am you’re welcome to go on there and leave a review, yada yada. How quickly she became so unprofessional when asked to explain the extra charges. She lost me as a customer. Just as she mentioned to me during the phone call that she works hard for her money, guess what, SO DO I."
