"The dental techs are very nice and some of the dentists are pretty good--my husband has had a really good one and mine was OK. The thing that makes me sad is that their admin and billing side is really not good at all. My husband had some issues, communication problems and runaround at one point with a more complicated dental issue getting resolved. His insurance changed and he ended up going elsewhere. Years later, he's getting bills in his name when he was 100% paid up long ago. I finally decided one day to look into it, and they said they got a new system that put my two fillings under his name (which was even incorrect) . Because I don't generally deal with his mail, it was already in collections (which is their parent company as well apparently!). I called them and they said my service wasn't covered "due to frequency" (I don't get fillings with any frequency.) I called my insurance, and it seems Bright Smiles incompetently submitted the claim twice. Why they couldn't have rectified this before sending a bill--in the incorrect name--to collections, who the heck knows. I ended up dong the log work and got the claim reprocessed, and called Bright Smiles to tell them they will get payment in 7-10 days. The billing lady was very rude, saying it had been too long and just to pay it myself right now, even after I told her I straightened it out for them and they would be paid soon. She never apologized for all of their mistakes and the hassle involved, instead acted like it was all my issue somehow. All of this left a really bad taste in my mouth and the desire to find a new practice with better admin and billing."
