"Wanna tell you guys about the disaster that is Putnam Collision & Auto Care. Last year I brought my Firebird in to be repaired. Putnam's broke more than they fixed and I had gotten nowhere contacting them. I then found out they didn't even install my gas tank right. I had provided the parts save for the fill neck. Youre supposed to weld the fill neck to the tank, or at least JB tankweld it. I was told to call them, so I did. Chris, the owner of the business, said he fired the last guy who worked on my car because he caused similar issues and would "make it right" and that he wanted to inspect the car to give me my options. I said sure but I wanted a price. He said he'd "work with me" and said we'd discuss price after the inspection. I decided to give him a chance dropped my car off. I was told in a week I would be called. I didn't hear back after a couple weeks and went in. Chris told me he already bought the gas tank. I said I wished to speak with him BEFORE he ordered the part. He told me it was "only $150" and that he would work with me on the price. I said fine, since he apparently already ordered the part and he finally gave me a price of $150. Over a month went by before hearing from him. I called for an update and he said he had me penciled in for Monday. To my knowledge, it was still $150 for the part. I got my bill today. $375.87. Somehow my bill DOUBLED. I explained to him he told me 150. He lied to my face, saying companies would charge him over $150 shipping to deliver it, so he bought a $377 tank instead WITHOUT consulting me. After much back and forth, he said "Well, if you provided the right parts, we wouldn't be here!" I provided the right parts and his guy installed em wrong, which he admitted to me months before. I brought this up, to which he said "no. That never happened". Chris LIED to me, either on the call or right there in the office. Chris screwed up and installed parts incorrectly, then tried charging me double what he priced me the first time without my permission. He did insure the fuel neck he provided the first time, but it still cost me $330. Still double what I was priced. Chris Putnam is a liar and a thief. AVOID PUTNAMS AT ALL COSTS."
