"I was rather disappointed by how rude the staffing was there and how unorganized everything was. I drove to the urgent care clinic here because I am autistic and UK had never failed to accommodate me before. I called ahead to see if I could come in, and the lady on the phone told me I just had to get there before they opened because they only accept so many people a day; that was fine with me. I live three hours away, and the building opens at 8, so of course I get there by 7 thinking "okay this is great. I woke up at 4 a.m., got on the road, and arrived at 7. I'm early just like the lady told me" I sit in the lobby waiting for the service desk woman to arrive, and when she does she is incredibly rude to me and my family and unhelpful. A kind lady came off the elevator and said "uh, if you're going to urgent care, it's on the third floor and you better hurry because they're almost full." I was so upset and panicked. So I get up the elevator and there are already like twenty people there and signed in-- and it's not even 8 yet! They said people had come in at 5 just to get a spot there, and I was not only distressed and in extreme dental pain, but was appalled by the organizing and state of the building. I go to the desk to see what I need to do, and the desk clerk says "there's a line. Go sit." And I look around and ask the people where the end is, which most people said they had already signed in and nobody was waiting. I try again, and I'm told the same thing. More people come in and sign in and I'm like "what the hell???" I was here first and the desk clerk was just ignoring me. After an hour of waiting they said they reached full capacity for the day and to come back tomorrow. Seriously. I drove three hours to Lexington, came early as directed, and wasted so much money and gas and time for nothing. I don't think it's fair they are servicing and signing people up waaayyyy before opening; i don't care how busy they get. It is not fair. There were people there getting urgent care for minor cavities while I had a horribly painful broken tooth and was ignored."
"dentist and students did amazing this is the best I have been to. I felt my health and pain mattered more than the money."
"Went here because nobody would help me remove my broken wisdom teeth. These students and teachers are amazing. Yes you have to arrive early when they open at 7:30 but rest assured its worth the wait!"
"Horrible. so i drove 2 hours away to this appointment that they moved up to today. could not find the building at all, kept calling their office with no answer. called about 4 times looking for the address. did not answer at all. finally when i show up, the woman at the front desk is short and rude. says i have to reschedule despite driving 2 hours away and their lack of professionalism hence answering the phone. just horrible service all the way around. wouldn’t reccomend this place to ANYONE."
"The receptionist was nice and I was there early enough that I didn’t have much of a wait at all to be seen. The student who worked on me was wonderful, as was his supervisor. They were kind to me and while they did point out some other dental issues that I’d been unable to keep up with, they didn’t criticize me or make me feel bad. I really felt like they were happy to have me as a patient and I plan to establish care here."
