"My wife and I live nearby at The Arnold and we used to love going to Lefty's with friends and colleagues on Fridays after, our tedious work week. The food, service, drinks, and music were always awesome but recently there has been a white female DJ who plays mostly explicit rap using the n word and derogatory words for women. No one ever dances or seems interested in her music. We find it offensive on many levels and when my wife requested cleaner music she was rudely denied. Hoping they find someone else or go back to their own playlists soon."
"Went there for a holiday Xmas themed cocktail. Drinks were cute, and decorations were kitschy but the music was a little too loud and drinks a little over priced. Def good for tourists or visiting family etc"
"Lefty's is an absolute gem in East Austin! The Christmas decorations are a festive wonderland, providing endless photo ops. Their creative Christmas-themed drinks are a delight, and don't get me started on the delicious curly fries! A must-visit for a jolly good time! Oh and dog friendly!!"
"We visited Lefty's for Rudolph's Road House. This holiday pop-up features a ton of festive cocktails and amazing holiday decor. This East Austin bar does not disappoint. There's a second-story bar at the back and almost every drink is served in a holiday cup. Not only do the beverages taste delicious, but they are also strong. Will definitely be coming back after the holidays. Instagram: food_and_travel0"
"I hear the drinks are normally better but I visited during their Haunted stint. Not going to lie - it was creepy. I’m not a Halloween person in general but the dolls, were a little overboard for me. Which for some - right on the money. Not gonna yuck your yum - I can appreciate it. My frozen strawberry margarita tasted overly sweetened- it tasted like too much sour mix in there too. Got a headache from the frozen-ness and the sweet tartness. Great spot though! I like that there is ‘overflow’ up at the hotel balcony. Looking at pictures when it’s in the normal set up - it looks like a nice happy hour place."
