Upon arrival, I had a clear idea of what I was looking for and a flexible budget of $400-800, although I was prepared to invest up to $2000 for the right product. Despite my attempts to communicate my needs and budget, the individual was dismissive and rushed the process, showing a lack of respect for my preferences and budgetary constraints. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also condescending, significantly detracting from the shopping experience. It's crucial for staff in customer service roles to listen actively and respond with empathy and professionalism, something that was sorely lacking in this instance. However, I have decided to rate this experience with 3 stars because the salesperson did show a change in attitude after I addressed the issue, offering an apology and complimentary alterations. This gesture, while appreciated, does not fully compensate for the initial negative experience but indicates a willingness to acknowledge and rectify mistakes. I believe this is a valuable learning opportunity for the staff member involved and the business as a whole. Emphasizing the importance of humility, professionalism, and customer-centric service can prevent future incidents like this. "Cardell was really nice and professional. I had a good idea what I was looking for and he did great helping me with styling pointers (shirt, ties, shoes suggestions) and a really nice coat to give me several style combinations. And, he had good pointers on the alterations as well. I got in and out under 90 minutes with a suit, jacket, two shirts, two ties, and socks plus the alterations."
