"This place is amazing. As soon as we walked in we were treated like family. Everyone was so friendly and pleasant. They truly wanted you to feel like you were at home. The food was delicious and it was an authentic Mexican Meal. After we finished our meal, our waitress gave us a whole rotisserie chicken for FREE just to see if we liked it and of course we LOVED it. Will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in Austin."

"Excellent authentic Mexican food. Tortillas are homemade and have that perfect elasticity and chew to them. You can ball them in your fist, squeeze, and the tortillas will spring right back. Carne guisada is some of the best in Austin and the service is fantastic. Local friendly vibe. When I'm depressed and want to eat by myself i just stuff my face with Julios and leave out the back door.... like a thief in the night."

"I know Julio‘s sold recently. I ordered takeout Migas this morning. The eggs were fine, the details were lacking! Specifically, there was absolutely no solid food in the salsa, just juice. By the time I got home with the takeout container the fruit salad was covered in refried beans. It would only cost a few cents more for them to package the fruit salad away from the hot foods. In all, I was underwhelmed."

"Traditional Mexican restaurant with plenty to choose from. We went stopped in for lunch. Owner at the entrance was very warm and welcoming. My wife had the chicken quesadillas and I had the house salad with pulled chicken. Ranch dressing was house made and a definite plus. Both plate were delicious and a really great value. We ended up spending less than $30 for the 2 of us including tip. Place itself is a little older but clean and it feels truly authentic. A must try. We will be back."

"Well done Tex Mex with a great happy hour! I got the veggie plate and it was delicious & a big portion. My food came out quickly and the restaurant was clean. They do take cards which I saw in earlier reviews that they used to not. Indoor & outdoor seating, order at the counter."
