"As others have shared. Very expensive for what you receive. The food is bland and the tacos are very small. This parce used to be packed and the portions were big. Not anymore. Almost $13 for 2 small tacos is outrageous."
"The food was disappointing at best. Pricey for terrible “Tex mex” food. The servings were small and flavorless. Just a bunch of store bought items thrown together. As much as I wanted to support a local owned business, you are better off going to a chain Mexican restaurant."
"Literally the worst tacos in Austin;) Extremely dry meet you have to drink water or it’s no way to swallow it. The place was empty and I’ve waiting been for 3 tacos like 10-15 min with no clue why? They didn’t even hit up the tortillas. And tortillas probably the cheapest one from Walmart on sale. The cheapest American cheese what is not actually a cheese and they charged me like 15$ with tips for that?;) (3 tacos with cup of water) I would never recommend this place to anyone period"
"This my 2nd time at taco shack. My first time was about a year ago at the cedar park location. Very bland and underwhelming beef tacos. This time I went to the west campus location. The food here is down right dangerously bad. My friend has a whole egg shell in her taco. I had pieces of eggs shell in my bland eggs with bland potatoes. Additionally the refried beans were the consistency of soup and tasted like dirty dish water. Has potential given the bacon was good and salsa was as well. Would not recommend."
"wow. i just had the burnet burrito. a real piece of work - and my burrito standard of excellence is calibrated by the gourmet Mexican food sold by Mexican ladies in their front yards in the sketchier parts of Los Angeles, which is as good as it gets this side of the border. Best breakfast burrito in west campus for less than $6 - period."
