It's a flagship quality restaurant, if you want to know what 'shortstop' is supposed to taste like - this is the place. If I ever leave and come back to visit, this will be where I snag a bite on my way back outta town."

"I moved to Austin in 2018 and loved Short Stop. I visited in 2022 and it was still good. I took my kids here for lunch and got 3 cheeseburgers (normal, included toppings) and 1 large fry---- $22.36!? The burgers were the same size and taste of P. Terry's!--They are a complete ripoff now. SAD. Short Stop FELL SHORT and has lost my business for good."

"I went to Short Stop for my first time recently and I got the “Chicken Slammer Meal” which came with the chicken sandwich, fries, and a warm apple pie. I thought for the amount of food you get and the cost, it was a good deal. The pie could have been a little more hot, but otherwise the pie was good. The chicken sandwich I thought was okay. Nothing remarkable. The fries I were impressed with though. They were skinny like McDonald’s fries and salted perfectly. They were hot and crispy. There tea was supposed to be good so I got that, but I wasn’t blown away. 3.5 stars out of 5."
