Reviews of The Home Depot
"Purchased wood and an excavator rental for our backyard project. We could not fit the wood and pull the trailer at the same time. Tool room employees said customer service would be able to help us with storing the wood. As we are burning through our rental time customer service is no help and refuses to assist us in our problem with just keeping our cart off to the side in customer service or Pro area. With the $1500 deposit plus the purchase of our wood. They only suggest refunding and recharging and re selecting new wood later on. That many charges would put a hold on my card plus the work of already selecting the pieces we want and the work of lifting them with no employees help. Worst customer service yet again at another Home Depot."
"As part of my home improvement project, I plan to add insulation to the attic. I purchased several bags of EcoFill Wx R-11-R-60 Fiberglass Blown-In Insulation, enough to get a free rental of the Blowing machine. I spoke to the tool rental representative to schedule the tool rental, but wanted to pickup the machine later as to not to start mt 24 hour rental. The representative said he would set the machine aside, as it was the a working machine, and i could pick it up in a few hours. When i returned there was a different rep, and the machine was gone. The new rep gave me a blower, but the next morning we got started at 6am and the blower stopped working a few minutes after use. My brother in law and I took the Blower back and get a replacement, but there was a wasted bag of insulation. I asked the rep in tool rental if I could get credit for the wasted bag that was still stuck in the machine. He said a flat “No, you could have dogged it out of there”. I was surprised he suggested trying to dig out fiberglass from the broken machine, as it could be dangerous. We took the replacement machine and it took stopped working after a few minutes. My brother in law, a trained mechanic, looked in the machine to discover the fan motor was turning off as it was over heating. He saw the fans were full of insulation from previous use, a mix of fiber glass and cellulose. After 30 minutes of clean the machine he go it working and we were able to complete the project. All of this could have been avoided if tool rental would had completed proper maintenance on their tools after use."
"I don’t know if it’s just my luck, but this location is always out of the one thing that I need when I need it the most! Other than that, it’s just a Home Depot, not really much to say about it. Lock your doors before you go into this place, there’s always sketchy people in the parking lot, but I think that’s just a Home Depot thing. Service wise, I have never had a great experience at any Home Depot location. It is very hard to get any department workers to help you out. Whether it’s for cutting new keys, cutting wire, whatever it may be. Good luck finding an associate that’s not busy with something else."
"The store is good, it’s the customer service that is lacking. It seems like the staff actively avoids contact with customers, maybe it’s not part of their job but then make the store laid out better for the customers to navigate. Today I spoke with one of the store associates about a tool that I could not find and had no aisle listing online yet showed the store to have 22 on hand. The associate told me that it was because it was only online that I could order, when I pressed more about the 22 quantity showing to be available for pickup today, another associate stepped in said they’d have to look for it. It turns out the 22 were still in a box somewhere on the top of the racks. I’ve encountered something similar another time when an order was cancelled saying they couldn’t find it to where I went up there the same day, walked straight to the item and was able to purchase it."
"I usually don’t do reviews unless necessary. This has been a nightmare of an experience for us. We ordered a patio furniture set that we found displayed in Home Depot and loved. After receiving our confirmation email for delivery we were called and told they couldn’t “find” the inventory and we’re discontinuing the set so they had to refund us. I went back in today and they still had it displayed and showed 6 in stock at the store as well as 647 available through out all Home Depot’s. They then can’t find any of the 6 in stock, had me wait for an hour to talk to a manager. They said they found one in the League City location and offered to deliver it. I stated I didn’t want to pay until I saw product in hand and I was assured the product was there for certain and that I needed to pay now before they could go pick it up. It’s delivered and the box is all beaten up and I get a picture from the delivery saying box is pretty beat up just check to make sure it’s ok, welp we do and what do we find a box full of trash! On the box it says 146 pounds this box can be lifted and picked up with one hand it’s so light, so they didn’t even check to see if our product was correct or in the box. $700 spent twice now with no product and now know furniture for our Easter weekend plans. Horrible experience and the customer service just isn’t there. Very unorganized and seems like no one knows what’s going on. Then they had the audacity to offer the display, but at full price no discounting. I’m just mind blown at this point. 10/10 don’t recommend just drive the extra 30 miles to another location."
