"Service was so slow I would never come back. It’s not worth it. We came by on a Saturday night, no line, empty lot, our order took an hour to come out. The sushi was mediocre and my fried rolls were fried in bad quality reused oil, it was not appetizing. I don’t get the good reviews, it seems like people who have never had sushi before came by and gave them rave reviews. Seriously the wait is ridiculous. I do not recommend."
"Really great sushi at a reasonable price! The owner is really friendly as well. Just be prepared to wait on the weekends because it seems to be pretty popular. We waited around 90 minutes on a Friday night but we’ll be sure to order ahead next time."
"Super good sushi. 10/10 some say to order ahead to avoid the crowds, but I had 0 issues when I visited. I guess it depends on the time/day you visit. There is a sign at the window that says everything is made fresh as it's ordered, and there's only 2 employees so there might be a small wait. So please be kind to the employees. Highly recommend"
"The food was good, but the wait was incredibly frustrating. We went on a Friday after work. When we placed our order the owner said “it would take a while”. Since “a while” can mean a lot of things, I asked for a time estimate, and she said “it could be 30 minutes, but could be over 30 minutes”. It ended up taking an hour and 15 minutes for us to get our food, which is significantly more than we expected. At that point, no food is worth that wait. If you decide to try Dawa Sushi, I’d probably suggest trying to place your order online or over the phone so you avoid the long wait. As for the food, I got Erika’s roll, which had smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, and was topped with mango and a mango sauce. I loved the mango on this. It wasn’t mind blowing sushi, but it was good. My boyfriend got the bibimbap, which he said was alright."
"Dawa sushi is a mom and pop food truck nestled in an adorable food truck area off Burnet. They have inexpensive, delicious, and authentic sushi and other Japanese meals. Would highly recommend a visit!"
