"Happy hour is the time to go. Prices are better. I recommend the carnitas and cheese quesodilla. Qeso is good, but I wasn't a fan of the 3 different salsas. Crowded parking lot."
"My first time here, I saw some good reviews from my fellow Yelpies and had to come to check it out! First the area through me of not too many places around so a hole-in-the-wall type of place with a lot of history. But… YES food was yummy and plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Our server Cody was so kind and gave us so many options to choose from we wanted to try EVERYTHING! We started with Chips and Queso OMG I am always on the search for the right Queso and the chips were so fresh, we also ordered Bean and Cheese Quesadilla, Camote Taco, Mushroom Picadillo Taco, and Sweet Potato Taco. My favorite was the bean and cheese and the camote taco. The price point was great with all the food we tried plus the drinks. I recommend going and trying a bit of everything."
"Absolutely delicious and amazing service! Friends recommended this to me to try while in town and it was my first stop after my flight — what a wonderful introduction to Austin! Delicious food, welcoming and kind service, and a great vibe. Clearly loved by locals and tourists alike. Kristina my server was wonderful! She helped me navigate the menu, welcomed ke in so warmly, and even helped me figure out a bike helmet rental with another server! Above and beyond. Enjoyed the fish taco, birria quesadilla, chips and queso and guacamole! Yum! And a guava margarita. I only wish I had more space in my stomach to keep eating!!!"
"The food here is definitely worth the long wait in queue to get in, the line was super crowded even at 9 pm. The ambience is great, a nice spot to get a meal and hang out with friends. There is limited outdoor seating by the side of the restaurant, plus some more outdoor seating by the front, an indoor area with fans and a closed (a/c) indoor area with a bar and some more tight seating. The place was absolutely packed, but we managed to get margaritas and chips and queso at the bar while we waited for our table. Service was friendly but chaotic, probably because our server had so many tables to handle. After we were seated and had ordered, it took about 15 minutes for the food to come out, but there was an issue with our 10 taco order. The space is very noisy so it took several minutes to explain to two servers what was missing, once they understood, they brought out the correct order another 10 minutes later. The vegetarian tacos are excellent, probably some of the best veg tacos I’ve ever had. However, the blue corn taco shells fell apart before we could eat, so I had to use a fork for the filling (which I got from a service station myself, because the servers were all very occupied). Definitely worth a visit, maybe a better experience at less popular times. It’s not as economical as other taco places, but this is a restaurant and not a cafe so that was understandable."
"When Alison Roman said they had the best hard shell tacos in the country, I had to see that myself. The food here is another level, but the food is just one thing about this place. If you’re are looking for having a good night out with friends or a date, this is your spot. Drinks are amazing, specially their margs, prices are good, ambience is nice and the food will make your visit worth the wait line. Highly recommend if your around East Austin."
