"Stopped by here on a random layover when we got delayed. The service was top notch, prices reasonable for the location, and food/drinks were great. If you’re looking for a large menu keep walking. We got the Brussel Sprouts (no mint) and hummus for a quick snack. Both were great. Our waiter recommended a good wine pairing as well. Quick, easy, and tasty. Very pleased and thankful to the staff."

"It’s Christmas night 7:00pm. Tired and want to get home. Sam and Jeremiah were absolutely excellent! They were friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The food was great! I had the Brussels sprouts and a salad with steak. Hit the spot! My pour of Cabernet was generous. It’s great to see these young kids working their butts off on Christmas night with a smile and a great attitude!"

"My experience at Second Bar was quite disappointing. The food was mediocre, and the coffee was terrible. I even found a better cup of coffee at Costa, just across from Second Bar. While the service was fine, I'd suggest exploring other dining options in the airport as there are better choices available."

"The food was mediocre and cold. It was clear the food had been sitting out for a while by the time we got it and our server said something along the lines of "this food was out and ready to go but no one told me." It took almost 45 minutes to get all our food. The main reason for 2 stars was the service. The server we worked with was young and very spiteful towards other employees and customers. When he got a bad tip or a server tried to help him with his area (invaded his area) he had a reaction similar to Tim Robinson (ITYSL) and would say nasty things under his breath behind them. He also just really struggled to use the kiosk to settle checks or place orders. It seemed like he was always there instead of bringing food or taking orders. Maybe if we had a different server we would have had a different experience but that day I think he was busy and also just needed to accept help from his peers. Also my bread was burned"

"Now that was a surprise! I stopped by here to grab breakfast on the way out of Austin and was quite honestly shocked. I went in with the expectation of the typical airport breakfast spot —quick, nasty, paper plated but yet almost tasty breakfast with quick and dirty service. I had a completely different experience! The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming, friendly, upbeat and so polite. They knew and understood their menu, and were extremely attentive though not annoying. The food was out in minutes and check to follow. The food was a pleasant surprise, too. I had their all American breakfast with eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast. The eggs were delicious and cooked just as asked. The toast actually tasted like fresh bread and their potatoes weren’t just generic deep fried frozen junk, they were cooked with onions and a slight amount of green pepper making them just wonderful. The prices were very reasonable, especially for such a great restaurant—I’d even go as far as calling it almost upscale as far as airport restaurants go at least. Everything was served on actual plates with metal silverware —not the plastic I’ve become accustom to. Such a fantastic spot with delicious food and incredible service. I highly recommend and will be coming back!"
