"Incredible food, made fresh. Zuzu Salad with mahi mahi out of this world good! So grateful this local, healthy restaurant is still here. So few Austin gems have survived."
"Nice place! Order at register, food delivered to table, self service beverage and salsa bar . Food has quality ingredients but lacks flavor. Forgot my papas and side taco...I had to ask for both separately..no big deal, but we were only guests in building as we went for "Linner". Not a greasy typical Mexican food restaurant definitely do not feel gross after eating here, but with lack of flavor really isn't something that we can't do at home on a spur of the moment as sauces lacked complexity which shows little time spent in prep. Bummed you have to pay for chips albeit bottomless.. still chips at a Mexican restaurant should be complimentary and built into entree prices. 4 people and bill was 75 bucks before tax and tip, so definitely not an inexpensive meal. If we are in area we would visit again but will not drive out of our way to make the trip."
"Zuzu handmade food was delicious!! The salsa bar was great and offered a variety of choices. The marinated chicken breast with the roasted veggies and potatoes was tasty. The peach mango tea was refreshing."
"Not the best I've ever had. Ordered the steak tacos. They are greasy, greasy. They are also salty and there is way too much rosemary in the spice. For my sides, I ordered the corn relish (corn was old, so chewy) and the roasted potatoes, which were pretty good. My Guacamole and chips...was really a salad as the bottom was filled with lettuce. I will say the chips were thin and very good."
"This is a nice little restaurant hidden in the corner of a small business strip. They have well-organized ordering, with customers entering and immediately bring in line to order. Trouble is that at the register there is a bunch of "stuff" that partially hides the register. The counter is simply crowded. They have a varied menu of standard Mexican food fare: tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, fajitas, etc. Their vegetables are always very fresh and the various proteins are grilled and seasoned very well. They have fresh salsa of different intensity as well as fresh cilantro, pico, and other items to add to your meal. Currently, due to COVID precautions, they are individually packaged, and I find the servings to be more than adequate. I'm a huge fan of their chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas. However, while always tasty, the quantity of chicken each time varies. Their steak tacos are really good too. They are tasty and filling and the cheese is just right. There's nice outdoor seating that I recommend when the weather cooperates. If you're in the area, this is a good place to stop in. Odds a very good you'll be satisfied with your meal."
