"Out of all the home, building, hardware, outdoor, diy and more stores, I have to say that Home Depot is absolutely the best! Been a fan/supporter for the longest time and will continue."
"I went into the 11500 Chimney Rock Rd, Houston, TX 77035 location to buy a couple of OSB sheet goods and came out upset and empty handed. First, I loaded my 2 sheets into a cart and asked an associate to call for assistance at the cutting center. I needed my 2 sheets cut in half. That's one cut across the middle on each sheet! I waited for 20 minutes and nobody showed up. Several employees passed by me during that time, but none of them were authorized to operate the saw. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting the first employee I asked for assistance passed by again and asked if I had been helped. He then kept walking, and 2 aisles over screamed to a guy "Hey, you got a guy waiting for you at the cutting center". Which the other guy responded "He can keep on waiting!" I couldn't see the guy from where I was at, but I clearly heard his response. I was only 2 aisles away and near to closing time. So, there was not much noise around there. So, by then I am upset. I start walking towards the aisle where he was at, and at that moment he turned the corner. He saw me and with a very rude attitude said "What do you want?". Very unprofessional response! I then told him I needed the 2 sheets of OSB cut. He responded, again in a rude way, "I can't cut those". And then started walking away. So, I asked him why he couldn't. He turned around with an annoyed face and said because they had cement in them. What?! Are you serious?! I told him that those were OSB sheets not hardi sheets. That there was no traces of concrete on them. That they were actually pieces of wood glued together. He them responded, "Well I can't cut that kind of material either. And I am the department manager so nobody else can cut them either" His name was Fredy. He just didn't want to cut anything for me and was making any kind of excuse. I've been going to Home Depot for over 20 years and I know that kind of material will get cut. I've had other people do it in that same store and other locations. By then 45 minutes had passed since I walked into the store and I just didn't want to spend another 20 or 30 minutes waiting and complaining to the store manager. So I walked out, upset and empty handed."
"Our kids ordered a garage door opener and installation. They both had to work on the install day and I house sat while the install took place. The installer showed up in the specified window, she did the job expertly and hauled off the old track and motor. Job well done Cindy."
"If you don't have an hour to waste waiting for the appropriate associate to come and help I do not recommend coming here. After 40 minutes and 4 calls, the associate still failed to show up - even the "M.O.D" failed to show up, whoever that is(manager of department, maybe?). What's more distasteful is how 2 of the 3 employees seemed to not have a clue or care. Y'all need to have a better system for calling associates or notifying your clients when they won't be able to receive help. I was patient because I understand people take breaks, but this was all around a good show of how awful it can be when little consideration is put in to these simple kinds of things. A shamefully simple solution would be the classic "will be back at xx:xx o'clock" sign which I did not see or get referred to by any of the people who "helped" me. In today's age there is surely even free applications which could be used to monitor associates availability which can be utilized internally for your teams."
"My go to store for home improvement. I like the way the store is arranged compared to other HD stores in the area. I'm giving them 4 stars, but it could be 5 if they would get some cashiers and train the younger employees on each area of the store so they can answer questions."
