"Last evening we went to buy paint. Steven and Nicole were very nice and patient. The last time I was there I did not get that kind of service. They were very helpful in helping my daughter choose the color. They are truly an asset to Home Depot."
"Went to appliances (11:45AM 02/16) Older guy there asked what I was looking for as I was checking out a refrigerator on sale for $1,500. I told him I liked this refrigerator and also wanted a washer and dryer. He pointed and said “they’re down there”. I said I knew but wanted to know about appliances, is there someone that can tell me about them? He said he was the guy. When I told him top load, again he pointed to an aisle. I knew I was wasting my time with this fool because I don’t need him pointing out where they were, I need to know agitator or not, load capacity, non-smart……. I’m not about to drop over $3,000 on appliances because of how they look. I needed advice on functionality, not if they were the right color. Off to Best Buy, I know they will explain different features and models and not just point out where they are. UPDATE: BEST BUY salesman was AWESOME. I told him what features I wanted and he directed me to different brands of appliances and explained everything they offered and when I found what I wanted he showed me how it operated. Spent over $3,000 at BEST BUY because HOME DEPOT had a useless dude in their appliance department."
"DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS STORE!! I went to this store first thing on Sunday morning. I was there like 10 minutes after they opened. Pat was working in the paint department and I was looking for ideas on how to restain a piece of furniture. I brought one of the drawers in with me and was standing behind a gentleman who was waiting for his paint. Pat never once looked up and greeted me but said, I'll be back. She was gone for 5-10 minutes and then came back with a flag in her hand roping off an aisle and guiding a forklift. The gentleman waiting for his paint got upset and walked behind the counter and removed it from the machine that shakes up the paint. She immediately saw him and said she was going to do that but he said he couldn't wait. At that point I saw other customers come up behind me so I asked her what was needed to repaint the drawer. She told me I had to pick a paint on the left and the primer was down the aisle where they were taking stock down for another customer (not sure why they needed to take stock down from an aisle shortly after opening). After turning around and walking away, she turned to all the customers in back of me and said that if they were waiting for paint they had to line up on the right. She never once tried looking at the drawer and I even asked her for advice. It was obvious she was annoyed, and had no idea what she was doing. I immediately left the store, leaving behind a basket of items and drove straight to Lowe's. If you need help from someone that cares and knows what they are talking about, go see Bradly at Lowe's. This guy was incredible. Actually told me that I needed to stain the furniture and not paint it, as i was looking to match the stain already on it. Thank you Home Depot for the many years of horrible customer service. There are a few good employees in this store but not many. I have been coming here since they opened and will NEVER return. So, if you are looking to raise your blood pressure go this Home Depot but if want to go somewhere with a much better experience, I recommend Lowe's. And by the way, if someone from corporate actually reads this review.. You may want to tell your employees to stop bad mouthing corporate. I overheard some of the employees last week at the paint department talking about how they are cutting hours and don't care about customer service. So in a way, I don't blame Pat but I blame corporate. Also, who runs out of artificial Christmas Trees in October!!!!? Ridiculous! Sounds like corporate has no idea what the hell they are doing!!"
"It’s a good HD in a decent neighborhood. Not nearly as sketchy as the one over there off I-10. They got those mosquito repellent bands and that’s what’s important to me."
"Home Depot is a unique place which we can’t compare with other stores when we want to find some specific items. Yes we have multiple stores who Carries some items but the variety is only at Home Depot. One major thing which always bothers when I go to find something without pre planning for some specific items. Sometimes the wait time is too much for certain department when we need help from someone associates to come and help, it’s may be because of some shortage of employees but most of the time there are no issues."
