"Service was absolutely excellent! I server checked in on us multiple times and for a place this busy, and it was packed, we never had a delay in getting anything the 4 of us wanted. Food was good overall. The corned beef hash was good but not the best I've had. The meat was slightly chewy. There burger looked and tasted good. Their coffee menu is extensive and the coffee/espresso tasted just right."

"Layered left a mixed impression with an overall 2-star rating. Despite having a reservation, the lack of a reserved table led to an inconvenient 20-minute wait. The restaurant's loud ambiance made conversations challenging, diminishing the dining experience. Unfortunately, my order was mishandled, and although the manager promptly addressed the issue, the resolution lacked an apology or any form of compensation for the inconvenience. The delayed correct order, arriving 10 minutes later, further dampened the dining experience. On a positive note, the introduction of a food-delivering robot added a cool touch to the atmosphere. However, the novelty couldn't compensate for the subpar service and average food. Layered has potential but needs significant improvements in service and attention to customer satisfaction."

"Made a reservation through Google maps and was seated the moment I got there. We got the Chicken and Waffle and a shakshuka skillet with sausage. The chicken and waffles was delicious; I liked that the chicken was nice and crispy. The shakshuka skillet was great. It was recommended by our server, Rob, and my girlfriend liked it. It was kind of spicy and had a kick to it. I liked my Nutella latte as well. It was perfect for a rainy day."

"The good: * The food selection is pretty good. The food is tasty and fresh. They have both full plates or smaller dishes. * Our server was very attentive. You can get Mimosas refill for $1. *They have full bar, and a very good selection of coffees as well. * This place is located right in the Downtown quarter, so it’s a good location if you are interested in looking around. The not so good: *The place is on the smaller side but with a modern and eclectic vibe. They asked us to vacate our table as soon as we paid, bc they had reservations they needed to seat (I understand that) but it’s a bit no no for me (personally). *Parking may be an issue because of the prime location, but there is free street parking up to 3 hours."
