"I am by far NOT a plumber but I was trying to help my friend whose bathroom sink drain was blocked up. I took it apart, cleaned out the parts that were indeed blocked with gunk but when I tried to put the 50+ year old plumbing back together it leaked even with pipe thread tape. Thinking I needed new parts I went to home depot who weren't very helpful and eventually I found someone who worked there who told me they don't have the size I needed.
