"I took my laptop to Geek Squad because of a Non-Start issue. It was not powering up and not turning on. They said, it is a mother board problem, didn't try to open the back panel and check it. They said they check only those laptops purchased in Best Buy, but still they concluded that it was a mother board problem and said me to purchase a new one. Later, I was able to diagnose it myself with my basic knowledge. However, Geek Squad was not supportive, despite of long wait for consultation."
"Don't go here, the person handling our appointment didn't even know ANYTHING about diagnosing the damage to my laptop. All she could do was tell us about the pricy shipping cost to send it to SOMEONE ELSE to diagnose it when I was expecting it to happen on location as their job is supposed to be."
"I got my laptop repaired, as it was not starting. I gave it a month ago, they said, it would take around 3-4 weeks. The main problem was mother board was broken, it got to be replaced with new one, due to which there might be a data loss. I asked for data recovery team to get recovered my whole system data. My system contains a whole lot of files, but they recovered only a less set of files. I have my learning programming courses notes in the c drive, which are very much important to me, when I asked them to revover whole data, they did not recover it properly by saying, we have done, what we could recover."
"My boyfriend made an appointment to get the battery in his iPhone replaced, 2 days later he went to the appointment and they said they needed to order the battery and it would be done the next day. It has been 8 days now and they STILL have his phone. We have called and gone in person almost every day since he dropped it off. For 6 days they said the phone was in “extended testing mode” then when he went up there on the 6th day, they said the battery JUST got there and they would put a “rush order” on it and it could be done either that night or the next day. Well, 2 days later (today), they told him it was still being worked on but they’ll “put a rush order on it”."
"My husband made an appointment to bring his phone up to the store and get the battery fixed. When we got helped, the person checked in the back and said they didn’t have the battery in stock, and he could order it to be shipped, but that they would have to hold on to his phone until the battery got there. First, when they have all of the information about his phone type and what he needed done, they should make sure to have what they need for the repair before accepting the appointment. Also, why would they need to hold on to the phone for days until the battery comes in? Nobody is going to leave their phone that long for a battery replacement. It was a waste of our time and a frustrating experience that could’ve easily been avoided by just making sure they had what they needed in stock."
