"I recently learned about their sourdough batards, and I love, love, love them! And they put them on their regular menu! So, I started ordering them and noticed that they were significantly smaller than what I had originally received. I wrote them, and finally after writing them *again,* I received a response letting me know that Commercial customers receive 5 pound batards, but regular customers receive only 3 pounds. I think it's a little bit unfair to pay $12 for a 3 pound batard and not even be told about a difference in size. So, I called and spoke with Chloe. I asked if I could please purchase a 5 pound batard since I had received one when I first ordered. She told me that that was a mistake, 5 pound loaves are for wholesale customers only and when I asked, could I please just go ahead and purchase one, that I would pay the difference if need be, she said absolutely not! What really gets my goat is that they already sold me one and now they refuse to sell me another. It’s such bad business. What ever happened to putting customers first? Millennials just don’t care. That’s the bottom line. Buyer beware."
"Really nice patio setting with coffee, tea, and their wonderful baked goods. Pation open after awful fire. Yay!"
"I'm so glad TFB is back up and running. The food is always SO GOOD and so fresh. I just had a salad nicoise for lunch and it was amazing. I also always pick up English muffins whenever I stop by. I never knew how good they could be! Their outdoor seating area under the oaks is beautiful and comfortable, and the staff is great. If you haven't been here in a while, come treat yourself while supporting a true Austin original."
"I had the breakfast tostada and my husband had the chicken salad sandwich with chips. The tostada was average at best. It seemed that they just took ingredients from jars and put them on the tostada. The fried egg was the best part. It was cooked perfectly. The chicken salad was pretty good and the bread was delicious. Service was fantastic, but prices were too high. The setting was very pretty."
"Great spot for a weekend brunch! I would suggest reserving a table in advance to avoid long wait times. Loved everything from the ambiance to the food and friendly service."
