Reviews
"I took my power steering rack in for a rebuild at Texas Steer based on a recomendation from the district manager at a national auto parts chain. Cliff has been real helpful sourcing hard to find parts to get my rack repaired and stands behind his work."
"Had a fender bender, and as a result my power steering rack was leaking. I was treated Well by Cliff, who hooked me up with a completely rebuilt unit for a reasonable price. The mechanic in the back installed it for me and it's like new again. No more puddles under my car! Thanks Texas Steer, Mark Campbell"
"Have taken 2 racks here and have never had a problem. Both times, my issues were resolved after they were serviced here and they were affordable repairs. Service dates were about a year apart. Would recommend to those looking for affordable maintenance of company vehicles."
"Had similar experience as Glenn. Wish I would of read this review before taking it here. Took my steering box In for a rebuild and take play out. Texas Steer charged affordable price jumped on it. Once i picked it up I noticed there was still play in it. Which was supposed to be normal at first but I was still uneasy. Took it to another automotive center nearby off Broadway where they opened it up right in front of me and confirmed NO seals had been replaced, worm gear also not replaced and damaged. Basically it was packed full of grease. Save your time and money, I would not recommend this place."
"Got the steering box for my 1966 mustang rebuilt here. Got it back and could tell it was entirely too tight and the input shaft felt very very rough. Sent the box to someone else because i was suspicious and I was correct. The next guy told me that Texas Steer only cleaned the box out, put a little grease it in, replaced a seal and massively overadjusted it. He showed me the original ford bearings, which i was told had been replaced. I will never take anything to this company ever again!"
