"My wife and I stopped by for dinner around 6pm on a Tuesday...pretty empty...by 7pm nearly all the tables were taken. Service declined near the end as things picked up, but they appeared to be understaffed by then. The honeycrisp salad was very memorable--best thing we had--I'd order it everytime. The pepporoni pizza was just OK by comparison...good but a little bland. The atmosphere and vibe were really nice here--a little music would have completed things well, but it felt warm and clean and pretty with some nice plants about--well thought-out and the oudoor seating looked great too. An upscale feel, smoe nice beers available, my wife enjoyed her Aperol Spritz, and the wine list looked pretty serviceable. All in all, worth a return to try the pastas and such as those w the salads may just be the ticket here."

"The pizza here’s is delicious - well balanced and nice crust!! A top in austin! We also tried the Honeycrisp salad and draft negroni - both very tasty but the pepperoni pizza was a stand out. The people that work here are incredibly sweet and personable. Can’t wait to go back and try other menu items"

"Had lunch at Dovetail and will definitely come back again! The place was clean and roomy. Our server, Ben, was super nice and gave superb recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their choices. I had the meatball sandwich lunch special. It was flavorful, I highly recommend trying it. The pizza looked tasty too and I will be trying it next time!"

"My nephew's favorite, and now I understand why! Food was incredibly delicious with accompaniments that expanded my usual throw some parmessan-on-the pizza routine that made our Fresh Mozz pizza exceptional. Service was top notch, attentive, imaginative (we asked for a protein add-on to our pizza). Yeah, I am already thinking about what to try next on a return visit!"

"Pleasant surprise of a gem on South First. First and foremost the pizza here is amazing. The crust of the pizza is just how it should be, thin and crispy, it holds the ingredients of the pie. The menu has a few good options for house pizzas but you can build your own and that's how I tend to roll when I eat pizza. The service was great, the staff are very attentive and kind, not once did I have to wait or ask for anything. If you're looking for a great pizza and a new flavor, give Dovetail a try."
