"We were quite disappointed on our last visit. Covid has been hard on many establishments and this is apparently one of them. We hyped this place up to my son in law as it used to be our favorite place to eat/ go for a great steak dinner. To our disappointment they no longer have steak. :( They still did however have a couple longhorn cattle in the back field to go see. The bean soup was still delicious.... The brisket was great.... The ribs were less than desirable. They were really tough... As a now barbeque restaurant and not a steak restaurant I highly recommend they learn to make ribs. They tasted like they had cooked maybe 20-30 minutes. They were still red .. ribs being one of my all time favorite foods to eat it was a HUGE let down that I couldn't bite into them. I left them on my plate. I could not even cut them off the bone with a steak knife. The baked potato was great, however, the potato salad lacked flavor and none of us at our table of 5 ate more than a bite."
"Great dinning experience, the bean soup was the best I have ever had. I had the chopped brisket sandwich was delicious. Wife had the ribs they where okay but I think they was over cooked the meat was a little hard. But we enjoyed our meal and was full."
"Yummy food. But the soup was the best. My Brisket was a bit dry but very flavorful. I really liked the ribs. We will be back."
"Recently had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant and wanted to share my overall experience. Let me start by saying that the ambiance oozes a delightful, traditional Texas vibe that truly adds to the charm of the place. However, I do have a suggestion that I believe might enhance the customer experience even further. During my visit, I couldn't help but notice that some older patrons and larger groups seemed to be slightly rushed. As someone who values attentive and amicable service, I felt it important to bring this to your attention. It is crucial for any establishment to prioritize customer satisfaction, especially when catering to different age groups and group sizes. *Encouraging staff members to take their time ensuring guests are comfortable, offering assistance with menu choices, and going that extra mile to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere would undoubtedly elevate the dining experience for everyone. Please understand that this feedback comes from a place of genuine appreciation for your restaurant and the fantastic ambiance you have created. I believe that by empowering your staff to exhibit a more attentive and relaxed approach, you can further solidify your reputation as a welcoming destination for all. Thank you for considering my feedback. I look forward to revisiting your restaurant and witnessing the continued growth of your establishment."
"First time here. I hate doing bad reviews, but I have to be honest with you all. Not a good experience with the food. Service and atmosphere was great. But the food, sorry to say. It was not good at all. The brisket was so dry. I drank my whole pitcher of water within a few minutes since I don't put sauce on my meat. I then asked for moist brisket and the only thing that was moist was the fat. The brisket was still dry. The brisket tasted as if it was not barbecued. It tasted like it was made in a roaster. Chicken was also dry and overcooked. Sausage was ok, but slightly overcooked and not as juicy. The potato salad was ok. But not to my taste. I tried the sauce, but it was not good at all. I've been to many BBQ Spots from here all the way to North Texas. And unfortunately this is the first BBQ place I had to do a bad review on based on the food itself. The banana pudding was good. Not too bad. But unfortunately the meats were not good. Maybe it was a bad day for the restaurant. But I cannot spend that much money for a plate and have this type of experience."
