"I drive a sprinter van and was told by security that I could not park in a completely empty part of the lot during the day. I was going to buy some food but now I will take my business elsewhere. Update Looks like they are allowing truck parking again. I spoke with an employee and was told they had problems with drivers peeing in the parking lot. Do better truckers. Respect the places that allow us to use their lots!"

"Been going to HEB for years and used to love getting produce here but Ive noticed over the past year the quality of the produce has dwindled significantly. I've constantly come across rotting fruit on display and it surprises me because there are always people stocking. Someone has dropped the ball. I hate to say it but lately Walmart has been delivering better produce overall. And be careful when selecting your produce because they like to stick organic and regular produce side by side and don't always label them to distinguish between the two. Your might accidentally purchase the high end stuff and right now people can barely afford food as it is."

"This applies specifically to the HEB unit off of McPherson and Bob Bullock in Laredo. The local Unit Manager's decision to start enforcing the ban on truck parking in HEB parking lot is going to be a financial detriment to the HEB chain. The local competitor (Wal-Mart) allows Truck Drivers (Bobtail) in their lot and the drivers will readily spend their hard earned money in that store instead of HEB. An average of 50 trucks used to stop in the HEB parking lot on a daily basis, using my last visit a basis for comparison, I went into the store and purchased $80.00 in groceries. If just 50% of the drivers are spending at least 50% of my purchases on a daily basis. HEB is possibly going to LOSE upwards of $2,000 in possible sales on a daily basis. Those 2k in lost daily sales, multiply to 60k per month and a possible 720k in lost sales on an annual basis. I wonder how the HEB corporate team will accept the local unit managers explanation for the 720k in lost sales that will now be spent at Wal-Mart... Update (1/24/24): HEB has not reversed their policy, but they are NOT enforcing it stringently as before. They are allowing Bob Tail Trucks to park, but not Overnight."

"If you go to Kroger, Walmart you wont find the fresh stuff! If you come to HED you will be very surprised I promise you will be impressed. I don’t shop up north anymore I wait till I come to Larado and do all my shopping for the month. Now most people say how can you freeze your meat as a truck driver! Very simple I have a deep freezer/ fridge that will hold everything. Go to Kroger/ Walmart then come here. It’s a game changer"

"This place is always clean. I like how I can find the items very quickly with their quick descriptions on top with each aisle. It helps that each item is placed firmly in their location with the price. I love how big it is and I can trust the quality of their food. I don't come here often as it is a distance from my home. However, the times I've been, there is a section tucked in by the food area and there tends to be quite a handful of people around the hours of 2pm-5pm and it gets a bit messy. Just passing through to get to the bathroom isn't that good. There are still items missing here and there throughout the store which us understandable since the company runs out quickly. The lines go pretty quickly so you shouldn't have issues shopping here with a quick errand or so."
