"Was driving past and decided to drop in. It was amazing! Mondays and Wednesdays $8.99 chicken fried steak with 2 sides! Chicken fried steak was tender inside with a hand battered crispy coating. Mamas meatloaf was delicious! Huge portions as the meatloaf was over an inch thick! Mac and cheese was so creamy with melted cheese. There are 3 locations so find one near you and be prepared for delicious home cooking. Customer service was fast and so very friendly!"
"The food is very delicious. Our server Amy was very helpful since it was our first visit. We also met Laura the GM. The portion sizes were great. We had chicken fried steak, meatloaf, smothered chopped steak and liver and onions. We tasted each other’s entrees and we definitely recommend these. I failed to take any photos of our entrees since we were hungry. Our meal was also followed up by some delicious lemon cake and peach cobbler with ice cream. We look forward to visiting again."
"He had an Omelette which was the size of the plate. He said it was delicious. We would purchase the salsa that came with it! I normally get breakfast too but wanted to try lunch. I had the special, chicken fried steak, with twice baked potatoe and fried zucchini (and cucumber salad). My food was good, but way too much breading for me. I pulled the majority off my zucchini so I could taste them. Love they did open close to us. They have been open 2 months here off Rufe Snow. We will be back."
"What an amazing find today! Blue Mound Cafe is our newest favorite cafe! The Rufe Snow location is easy to find and access with plenty of parking. The decor is simple, yet perfectly Texas homey. JaDonn welcomed us and gave us very personable service, going above and beyond to ensure our visit and meal were memorable. The skilled kitchen staff made our order fresh and hot in a short time. With their unique blends of seasonings on traditional Texas meals, Blue Mound Cafe has raised the bar on what this Texan expects from a satisfying home cooked meal. Fresh, hot, and very delicious! Oh My Yum!!! Thank you for providing our community with a great place to enjoy delicious Texas home cooking… sooooo worth a visit. See y’all again real soon!"
"This turned out to be a great Sunday lunch. We are excited to have this so close to our houses! My family of 3 plus my parent we seated quickly. Brittney was our server. She's fun. She was a busy bee moving all around us taking care of this and that, Filling drinks and chatting. She made us feel at home and very welcome. She was knowledgeable of the menu and patient with our questions. I ordered the Big Hungry. This was a super tasty, juicy burger. They cooked it to order and the veggies were fresh. The fries were great. They're the perfect fries for a cheese-fry platter(which is on the menu!). My wife ordered the chicken fried steak, which she said was wonderful. My daughter got a burger too and ate the whole thing. My Dad got the French toast breakfast sandwich. He said the sandwich had a sweet taste to it. The bacon was crisp and he enjoyed it. My mom ordered the pinto beans and cornbread. She was pleased with the onions and spices in the beans and stated its like our family makes it. Her only comment was the cornbread. She said it was not fresh. It tasted old and tough. Dad ordered a coconut cream pic and I got this I guess, strawberry cream pie. The pie was freaking great. Laura the GM stopped by and thanked us for coming in! We'll be back! Thanks, Brittany"
