Reviews of Giovanni’s pizza N pasta
"The pizza is really good but they have all of these "specials" listed on website that they will not honor. When calling them about this the response was pretty much, yeah we don't honor those. Maybe time to take those down as even though the pizza was good I refuse to order again with someone that will not honor specials clearly listed on website. Just take them down then!"
"I’ve come to realize Giovanni’s might be the best pizza around! We order regularly and the crust, sauces and other fresh topping never cease to amaze me. Thank you!"
"I initially rated them 5 stars until I realized half the staff have no respect for you if you work for Uber eats. Picked up 2 orders here last night. Noticed the “blonde” dude was snappy. Apparently he was still fuming from a few weeks ago when I came. As he was giving the pizza to me I had my hands out expecting him to place it in my hands, but instead he placed it on the counter after which I said, “I have my hands out.” He looked at me, scoffed, snatched the pizza boxes and splats them in my hand. This was nearly two weeks ago and he’s angry about something simple like that?? This recent visit he told me he was the owner, and I am not the customer not realizing I’ve come there quite a few times even prior to me ubering. He then followed with “I place the pizza boxes on the counter and you can pick it up from there even with your hands out.” Power trip! It’s like when you pay with cash and have your hand out expecting them to place the balance in your hand but instead they place it on the counter. Not sure if they saw the hand or not, but my hand was out… DINOS in Blue Mound is even better. No attitudes, the owner doesn’t think he’s too good for certain things, and employees don’t yell, scream, point and become belligerent over simple things. The ingredients are very fresh and so is the customer service. Him telling me I’m not the customer and he was the owner was him pretty much saying “I don’t have to respect you because you’re the delivery driver.” Yes I am the delivery driver, with a bachelors in business, minor in a foreign language, but decided to take off from working in corporate America for a bit because I’m young and can do that so I Uber eats twice a week. His dad or the old guy who I asked if he was the manager and said yeah came literally SCREAMING in my face throwing his hands at me so closely to the point it reached over the counter and almost touched my breasts. I responded don’t point at me like that again and he said “you pointed at me” which I didn’t, but ok. I told the blonde guy after he said I was not a customer that I have been here quite a few times to which he responded “no you haven’t” lol omg it was madness. I then pulled out my phone to go to google maps to prep for a 1 star review until I saw my own 5 star review (which I NEVER give 5 stars) at the top. When I showed him that his attitude went from being belligerent and combative to silence and scoffing. His brother was the only one who was nice working behind that counter. He was very calm and assisting, the complete opposite of his brother, the owner. He also explained that they just returned from delivering and they’re busy. So wait times could be longer” Which I understand, busy happens and it’s good for business, but I won’t tolerate disrespect. I won’t tolerate a grown man harboring something from two ish weeks ago over something simple like placing pizza boxes in someone’s hands because their hands are out. When he retold that story, explaining why he had an attitude upon my arrival, about me having my hands readily available to accept the pizza, and followed with “I’m the owner if I place the pizza on the counter you can pick it up from there. You are not the customer” it truly through me for a loop because I noticed his attitude upon me walking in. So pretty much being respectful to someone patron or not caused this belligerent attitude from you and this was two weeks ago! Wow. Family and friends have asked me about this place and I have given them business off of that, but never again. He didn’t believe that I could I guess afford his little pizza place until I showed him my review. Disgusting and his reaction of silence confirmed it to me. 1. I will NEVER be back and 2. Anybody who asks about this place I will let them know how he belittled me or just freely bring it up in conversation. Seriously I cannot believe placing pizza boxes in someone’s hands while they’re out was a tough thing to do and then foster it for two weeks?? Again, wow!"
"Amazing food! My family and I ordered a few things and nothing disappointed. Such good flavor! Definitely recommend trying this place out."
"I've tried a bunch of other places when it comes to spaghetti meatballs and this place by far, is the best out of all them. They load it with a great amount of meatballs and adequate sauce which was very tasty. And then its topped with some melted cheese (i think it was bake till melted), overall was really good. It's a good size meal and can get you filled up even if you big person. I eat half of it and then save the rest for later and its gone before the night falls! For the price, its very fair and affordable. I give thier spaghetti meallbals a rating of 9.1 out 10!!!! (Thats the highest rating I've ever gave of a single dish review)"
