"It was inexpensive and cocktails were as good as the best I've had at expensive, trendy bars, the bartender was a really nice guy and good conversation, homemade bar snacks were top notch, and the live music was great. Really cool place. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town and looking for a good bar experience."

"Very relaxed place to hang out. The atmosphere is similar to what you would find in an old western movie. The bands are great and it is wonderful to just sit back on the porch and listen to live music all night. We got to see "HillBilly Fever Bluegrass Band" and they were a hit! Across the tracks from the heart of Alpine, its Murphy Street location sets it apart in a more relaxed and artsy neighborhood. Their selection of wines is eye opening andpleasing to the taste buds. The bar tender is well versed in his trade, quick-witted and a joy to converse with (to say nothing of his vast knowledge of his libations - but not in a stuffy way). Worth the walk/drive across the tracks - and be sure to enjoy your drinks on the patio out back, or the salon upstairs."
