"A diamond in the rough. If you blink you will pass it! Once inside, all smiles and a great welcome. Little to no wait time. Staff is quick to get your drink order and allow you to see the menu. Food server was very pleasant and gave us the plate of the day and possible recommendations. Food was served fairly quickly with no mistakes, the restaurant was very open and very clean. The music was not loud, the atmosphere was good. Our party was well taken care of, our glasses were never empty. Very well priced, can't wait to visit again. Thank you very much!! See you soon."

"The jalapeño Mac & cheese didn’t really have no spice to it. The Poblano chicken was kinda a let down, didn’t have much flavor. The tenderloin steak was pretty tasty. The jalapeño popper dip was pretty much just cream cheese not much of anything else. The green beans were really good. Margaritas are okay. Overall it’s so so, would try it again, we were just passing through but it has a nice scenic view of outside."

"First time here from out of town on our long road trip, we wanted to sit down in the patio area to enjoy the view since the weather was nice! However, we were told the tables outside were all reserved.. more than half of them were reserved apparently during lunchtime. I’ve been a hostess before and I know how it works, but if the restaurant is half empty.. The food and our waitress was nice, I enjoyed the burger I ordered and it was a big enough portion for two to share! We had no complaints about the food or drinks we ordered. Had a good experience."

"I drove a cross country team to dine at Spicewood Restaurant which provided reserved seating for the team, coaches & chaperones. The two waitresses provided Excellent Service although they were very busy to say the least. The food was very good, I had the Green Chili burger with sweet potato tots Delicious! The rear patio has a nice view of the desert & hills with big red granite boulders scattered about. YES, I would recommend this restaurant while in Alpine, Texas"

"Best food you can find in Alpine. You’ll be caught off guard by everything amazing inside, when you drive though the gravel parking lot and pull up to this unassuming metal building. The freshness and quality of food is out of this world. The watermelon and strawberry salad was big and so refreshing. The catfish plate was probably the best I’ve ever had. The pork chops were tender. The sauce on top was almost reminiscent of German food. The decor inside is gorgeous. And the staff is superb. The outside atmosphere makes you feel like you’re in a vacation resort. If possible, make reservations. Only open lunch and dinner Wednesday-Sunday. My only regret is not going back for more food or getting adult beverages. A slice of Heaven in the middle of nowhere."
