"To whom it may concern, On Tuesday evening, Jan 9 2024, I ordered 3 main entrees. One being the chicken bacon ranch fries from your establishment in Portales. I woke up in the early morning of Jan 10th, vomiting continuously and with diarrhea followed by constant headaches, nausea, and hot and cold spells all day. That same day the went to an urgent care in Clovis and they diagnosed me with severe Food poisoning. I hope that we can go forward with some reconciliation considering I enjoy eating at this establishment. - I just spoke with you about this issue a moment ago, thank you for the gift card, very pleased with the professionalism and resolution of this issue, will definitely look forward to eating here again. "The food quality has been going down for years. Almost every spud I've ordered has been underwhelming or has a foul taste. There's no consistency in the quality of food. There's been times where I order a crispy chicken spud, the cheese is replaced with slices of kraft, There's large knobs of butter, the chicken is overcooked, other times they will give you small scoops of gravy or they absolutely drown it in gravy. The teas now have the taste of what I think mop water would taste like. I mostly let it slip because everyone has a bad day, but the sheer number of bad days I've seen from the Portales SDG is what's leading me to this review. I've been coming here for almost 15 years and would reccomend this place to literally everyone who would visit. But now, I'd reccomend people to the one in clovis if you absolutely needed an SDG fix. I dont know if it's every SDG or just the portales one. SDG, please, you used to be so good, if the quality gets better, I will update the review. And I whole heartedly hope I will need to update."

"I had the zesty salad and fried zucchini and both items were satisfying. The staff were friendly! We also had a strawberry ice tea which was also good. This place is a bit pricey and overrated though. The one in portales is hands down better though Edit to add: came back and tried the catfish after seeing a photo online. It’s a 5/10 but the sweet potato fries are amazing."

"Had a great dinner-for-one while traveling through Portales. A nice vibe, with a wide range of age groups dining at the restaurant. I was a little disappointed when I found out the “happy hour drink specials” were not “adult beverages” (a server told me getting a liquor license was really hard, so they hadn’t) but was otherwise very satisfied. The Thai chicken rice was awesome! Good service, great prices, and a friendly staff. I wish there were more such places on the planet!"
