"Great old school spot. This was my second bbq stop during my visit to Amarillo and food did not disappoint my taste buds. The friendly bartender steered me in the right direction and I ended up with Dyer’s Special. My plate came loaded with brisket, ribs, coleslaw and potato salad with side plate of toast and bowl of beans. The restaurant is split into a large dinning room and a good size bar with plenty of dining tables. As a side note the one of the ladies working there has a great sense of humor and helped my wife played a practical joke on me. Well done! You get 5 additional stars."

"Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! If you are looking for an authentic Western meal you need to eat here! The brisket melts in your mouth! it was delicious! They stack your plate with so much food the meal came with sides to include coleslaw potato salad and Texas toast. They serve you a whole bowl of beans and a big bowl of sauce. They even have a apricot dipping sauce for you to try which was outstanding. The kiddos can eat a meal at a reasonable price and it was plenty enough for two kids but we just had one. If you need to be further convinced this is a mom and pop place and you just need to give it a chance it's that good."
