"This is a gorgeous arboretum! So many varieties of trees, and we love how they arrange them in certain areas. They have a section of spring flowering trees, fall color trees, and a grove of magnolias. We visited in the summer so we didn't see many trees blooming, except some of the magnolias. We also enjoyed the little gardens they have among the trees. We didn't find one that was listed on the website as a secret garden, but we liked the hydrangea area and other gardens we did see. There is also a small scenic lake amidst the trees. We were a bit confused by the information we found online that said the arboretum is only open for three hours on Thursdays. But we were visiting from out of town and decided to drop by on our way out of town on a Sunday. We didn't see any other visitors, but no one came out and chased us off, so we did some exploring and enjoyed the scenery."
"Beautiful place. Family run. They were helpful and full of information. Down side is road leading to it. That is only a minor concern. Did not distract from the experience."
"We enjoyed our visit. Mr and Mrs. Hartman were doing a few things in the arboretum on that Sunday afternoon. We were honored that they took the time to show us around. They showed us things that we otherwise would have most likely have missed. Look forward to our next visit."
"A small quiet beautiful place. Family owned and well cared for. A. Wonderful young man showed us around."
"Nice open area near the city to see many types of shrubs and trees. There is also a butterfly garden. Many trees are still small but growing fast."
