"Visually engaging fishing or observation spot along the river and close to downtown with large, partially removed overflow dam as point of interest. Gravel parking area for about 10 cars, though rarely full. Recommended for fishing, though avoid being in the water as the overflow dam can have dangerous hydraulic undertow. Not suitable for stroller / wheelchair as the approach is gravel and grassy field. Bring a trash bag for your own waste (and pick up a few pieces of others) as there is no trash service. No boat ramp though could carry down a kayak / canoe if you're adventurous."
