"Interesting small museum and old fort. Well worth doing the short walk around the ruins. The storyboards were well done. The museum has a short movie which you need to watch for sure. The museum volunteers were very friendly and offered an oral history of this fort. If you are nearby. Stop and check it out"
"Sans Marcos is an absolutely beautiful place. The river is gorgeous, the trees awesome. There is a lot of history here, a fort from 1718, taken by the confederate military from Spaniards. Really enjoyed it. There is a fish camp with cabins for rent n plenty of boat slips. Just a relaxing laid back atmosphere. Locally owned restaurants with great food n friendly people. Areas with grills n benches. Public restrooms are plentiful, n kept up. Great place for fishing, walking paths are everywhere, history markers n plaques tell the history. Our 2 shepards really enjoyed the park. We will b going back n might rent a cabin. Check this one outn.... ENJOY"
"Small nice park with a ton of history. You get a very quick idea of the geopolitical and cultural and economic dynamics of the area just by going through the museum."
"This place was absolutely beautiful. I don't have very many other words. Lots of parking spaces, but almost seemed like not enough for it's popularity. It was our first visit, we can't wait to go back again next year. ❤️"
"Neat park, can’t get to some of the area that’s why it gets 4 stars. Interesting history. $2 each to go inside the museum. If you like history you will enjoy it for sure."
