"Chinburg properties has changed our life for the better. I feel cared for where I live and the staff has always been so attentive to any needs we may have. I can assure you they aren’t just in it for the money like most companies these days. Thank you!"
"I have been requesting a rental application for 3 weeks. I have had email conversations back-and-forth trying to get an application and I have spoken to an employee on the phone asking for an application. I have been told I would get an application emailed to me. I’ve followed up. How many times does someone have to request an application? There are vacant apartments in the buildings I am interested in yet I just cannot get an application. I give up."
"**Update as of 1/26/23 - Coming up on 2 yrs soon and still not resolved. When I spoke to Eric Chinburg last year about our issues - they reached out - he said, "What do you want, an L.L. Bean gift card?" Not very sympathetic to the issues they dump on their buyers.** We chose to buy a new construction home from Chinburg because of their good reputation and solid houses. We moved so that we could have ownership of our own land and a large garden and outdoor living space. Unfortunately due to lack of communication, transparency, and poor planning on their and their partners' part we were "surprised" by issues they had known about prior to/at contracting and now - over a year later - are still unable to fully use all our land. It should sort out eventually, but we have no timetable (out of everyone's control currently), or any support from them or their partners for us to be able to do be able to move forward with our plans for the lot in the meantime (if any changes are needed would be at our own risk/expense). The design process was not great but there are new staff on the team now so that may have improved. The house so far is solid, but they sold us both the house and land, hence the poor review. If buying a new construction from them I'd do extensive research on the lot/HOA setup and with the town prior to putting your money down to avoid having to deal with tons of hassle. Existing construction/development or working directly with them as your personal builder I'm guessing is a lot better experience as I mentioned the quality seems good and the reps on our project were nice and attentive to detail (major issue with the land aside)."
"The showroom is nice and there are some great options to choose from. However, they marketed homes that were being built as "luxury condominiums" while their standard finishes were far from luxury. For example, single hole faucets, carpet on the stairs, extraordinary pricing for finishing a basement, standard size wall cabinets in kitchen, 1 coat of paint throughout the home with very few standard color choices, vinyl siding on exterior of the home, etc, etc. The options to choose from to upgrade are nice, however nearly everything needs upgrading to fall within the bottom range of the "luxury" spectrum. This was disappointing as it really just put their units out of the competitive market range. This coupled with 2 random price increases blamed on "supply chain" and a bad experience with their very scripted sales team lead us to walk away from buying from this builder."
"We recently had a house built in Greenland, NH by Chinburg Builders. It was a fantastic experience getting to work with their very capable team, most specifically Karen, Lori, Roger & Dylan. Their attention to detail is spot on and they aim to please. I got status updates every week on the progress and they made nice suggestions and helped do research when it came to any extras I was looking to add to the design. I highly recommend them. I’m looking forward to enjoying my new home for years to come."
