"I highly recommend stopping by this historical site. A quick drive from Salem, and you can see where all the witch trial hysteria actually started. I love that you can enter the foundations and feel the stones with your hands."
"This was one of my favorite experiences while in Salem. It is hidden with a small sign between two houses, so you will need to park and walk to find it. It is the archeological site of Rev. Parris. It’s a definite for anyone who visits Salem."
"A well kept site that holds significant historical value! Definitely has a very somber feel to the area. While it was smaller than I thought it would be it was nice that you can interact with the small portion of the original structure that is still standing. It can be easy to miss and you do have to park on the street and walk down a dirt path between houses in a neighborhood. There were chickens roaming free from one of the houses surrounding the site which just made it easier for me to picture how the area probably once was."
"Definitely, a little difficult to find from the sidewalk. You got to walk down a narrow path back to the land itself. I was there all by myself and the outright devastation caused by two little girls really had me overwhelmed. If we are not careful, though, as a society, we will head right back there. And that's where it looks like we're headed now. IDK. This place was always a must for me. Now that I finally made it I highly recommend everyone check this out and make it a must for themselves. It's a part of History. It happened. Let's learn from it."
"A friend of mine gave me a tour of this little-known “secret” about the Salem Witch Trials. It’s mind-blowing when you realize the witch hysteria (and all of its many, many consequences) began here—at a small, obscure little plot of land that few people know about. I suppose that’s true of our own lives, right? So much of what influences us and shapes us actually stems from seemingly small, “inconsequential” things."
