"Although Jerry and the office girls at Monroe were good to work with. The project manager Clinton did a terrible job managing my project and was unable to professionally communicate and schedule anything related to my project. He didn’t get the job done on time like he had committed, didn’t keep in touch on where things were at on the project. Usually I would have to call and bother him to get anything done. He also didn’t properly measure my roof so miss ordered materials. So when it came time to do the work the roofers were not able to complete the job and had to leave my home without a roof for 4 days while he scrambled trying to get his S*** together. Overall a terrible experience and I will never use Monroe again."
"Our insurance recommended using Monroe after a bad storm came through. Our sales rep was cordial. On time. Assisted. Talked through & explained insurance estimate vs theirs. We changed items on their estimate and signed. Asked for an updated copy. Never got it. Insurance never got it. No follow up communication from Monroe. Called & emailed Rep on receiving a copy and when is start date. No return communication. No emails got to us, no call to check in that we received anything. We had to start communication. A couple of months go by and Rep reaches out, he had gone on paternity leave....why didn’t someone fill in or contact us? He’s the only capable person? and still didn’t contact his customers prior to leave? Finally jobs are done. They just started showing up 4 months after our storm and started work. And on the one positive, almost all got fixed. 2 things were not completed, we called, and someone came out a few days later to complete. Our roof was not properly replaced as shingles started curling up soon after. We called and they wouldn’t come back out to look at or fix. Said the job was done. Shingles still have never been corrected. Never received a copy of the estimate, insurance did not receive either. Asked our sales rep several times. After many attempts, sales rep reaches out to us (of course he does, the Bill is due and we had no notice!) Rep Emailed us, no follow up call or text or mailed copy to ensure we have what we need for our own satisfaction and for our insurance company. Then we receive a final notice billing in the mail, a threat of a mechanics lien. Final notice? Where was even the first notice? Where was the estimate of changes we requested? Where was a copy to give to our insurance? Or better yet....you had our insurance contact...send it! Rep finally talks to us only because he tells us his boss is mad at a poor review my husband already left and he wants payment now. I clearly explain that because Monroe never provided this information and ensured we had it for insurance, our insurance company knows nothing about the changes. I agree to pay all the remaining funds we do have (doesn’t pay off the bill), and now that I’m getting the final bill from Monroe, it can be sent to insurance and let’s all hope they pay it. Rep agrees and picks up check. Then Rep calls and doesn’t understand why the check didn’t pay off the bill. Shaking my head. Repeat the conversation we had. Rep repeats his boss is mad. Well, not my problem, no need for a Rep to tell the customer this. Next day, Monroe places a mechanics lien. We received one phone call from Monroe other than from Rep. It was from their billing department. If I could have hand delivered Monroe 1 cent per day until paid off, I would have. But I had much more wonderful things to do and can only take needed time to warn others about this companies awful communication, awful service, and awful lack of follow up. Insurance follows up and amount owed is paid. Roof still never addressed. I placed a follow up call because I wanted a paid in full receipt since one was never mailed or emailed. Office Rep from the Fort Wayne office answered on speaker phone because “trying to multi task”. After I told her I can’t hear please pick up your phone. Office Rep says: “Rep didn’t email you? I’ll forward you a Paid statement. We will not submit a lien release, we’ve already spent too much time and money on this job”. Wow! This Office Rep lacks service qualities too! Called same Office Rep back 10 days later. Still no paid statement received. Admitted she didn’t email or mail and emailed it about 30min later. We were to pay for the mechanics lien to be removed ourselves. All we are to Monroe is another job. Another account. Another bill to collect. My feelings are that Monroe does not care about this review. And that should say a lot to you reading this, looking for a restoration company. My recommendation is to stay far away from Monroe. Their lack of communication, customer service, and follow up is the worst I’ve seen in any industry."
"I had a terrible situation happen, thanks to Clinton and Trevor with Monroe Restoration, My house is not only beautiful, but nicer than before thank you for your services. I will not only use you again but tell all my friends about your great service."
"The contractors damaged my furniture left appliances outside damaged my waterline and laughed at me when I told them how much I thought the damages were worth. They also unplugged my fridge trice did not replace the shelves they removed from my walls. I asked for a copy of the content list of all the boxes and they never provided it."
"Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. Turn and run away. They have to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. They have major issues communication issues and it will take you forever to get anything completed. They still have yet to complete repairs and are asking for their money."
