"I had a lovely tour and learned to appreciate some unspoken historical figures from our country's early years."
"As the last and only patron of the day before they closed on Wednesday, I think it would have been easy for the guide to phone it in or rush me through the property, so she could just call it a day and lock up. I’ve seen it happen. But in this case, I was given the full history-nerd treatment, with a guide who was not only a thorough expert on her subject, but was equipped with interesting, historical tangents that made for an unexpectedly great experience at the Walton home."
"Our tour guide Stephanie was great! My group was more interested in the architecture history of the house and she was able to provide tons of information about the house and point out interesting architecture details. I wish they were planning on making the upstairs into part of the museum just because I wanted to take a look up there ha. Overall great time and it's a cool thing to do on a Monday in Augusta. Lastly - LOVED the cat on the premises. Photo attached."
"We were so fortunate to have Stephanie guide us through the history of the Walton family and the previous residents of Meadow Gardens. Despite some of the other reviewers’ comments regarding the authenticity of the ongoing preservation efforts, I truly believe their amazing team values the longevity of the historic site, uncovering the secrets of the building’s founding, and staying true to the historic time period. Stephanie was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. This is a must visit during your stay in Augusta. Plenty of parking and well worth the $5 admission."
"This museum was so magical! They had beautiful candle lights and Christmas decorations everywhere on 2 and 3rd December. They had wonderful costumed tour guides that give you fun and interesting history facts while you walk around the home. They had live music and their gift shop is amazing!"
