Medical staff always friendly and efficient getting you ready to see the doctor you are there to see! Finally, you see the doctor! I have been with my doctor for 20+ years! I completely trust him as he’s always taken care of me in timely fashions whenever things have come up needing his attention. My doctot Is why I continue with Ascension Family in Avon, IN 46123"

"Dr. Lyons listened to all my questions and gave good answers. They performed an EKG and listen to my heart thoroughly. They indicated that there was no problems. And we discussed our medications to my satisfaction."

"Shame I want to give up a good cardiologist because of some rude condescending office workers. When labs for an MRI are scheduled and completed then have to be scheduled and done again because they were originally done 3 days too far in advance….When the Avon office calls me and tells me to call the heart center for the information I need before the scheduled test but the heart center says to call the Avon office to get that info shows me neither facility knows their left from their right. One facility says to do something while the other facility says to do it different or neither one knows what I am supposed to do. Then get upset when I raise my voice and don’t understand what’s going on, I am told to lower my voice or they will not speak to me. I wanted to laugh. But I just hung up. For my own health, why would I want to keep going to a medical facility that basically tells me to do something they themselves know nothing about. And like I said also gets upset with me when I get upset because they know nothing. Very Sad. And I might add. When did it become a rule that one needs to check in online before their appt. …… And gets reprimanded when it wasn’t done……when a patient is never checked in but has to check themselves in on a hand held computer. Some aspects of progress are just plain laziness."

"Substandard patient care on the floor. When call light pushed, someone answered in a prompt manner, less than 50% of the time. Staff was nice when they were in the room but getting them to come in the room was very difficult when the call light was pushed sometimes it wasn’t answered at all. Sometimes it took 15 minutes for someone to just answer the call light. Sometimes it was answered and it took at least 15 minutes for a tech or nurse to come to the room or more. Sometimes someone came to the room and said they would be right back and they never came back. I was supposed to be set up in the chair three times a day and I needed assistance to go to the bathroom but the majority of the time nobody wanted to help me with these task. Not once during my stay was I actually up to a chair three times a day a couple of days I was gotten up to a chair once some days I was not gotten up at all again very substandard. Patient care on this floor at an Ascension St. Vincent hospital, 86 street Indianapolis Indiana."
