This decision was made due to financial changes in healthcare, according to Terry Wilson, the regional president and CEO of Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health. No employees were let go as a result of the consolidation, and the health system is currently hiring nurses to staff an urgent care center that will open in the former ER space in late September.
