"I had quite a different experience here than any health system I used in Tennessee. First, I noticed everything on the second floor was streamlined through one receptionist and a team of coordinators. No matter what department or doctor you’re seeing on that floor, you see the receptionist first. It’s an efficient system, albeit confusing at first. The medical offices have their own entrance in the back of the hospital. I found parking on that side to be more convenient. My nurse/medical assistant was Brittany and she did a great job. She was fast, courteous, and knowledgeable. She’s also the first person I remember asking which STD test I wanted (or both). I’m not sure I have ever realized I had a choice. Dr. Leachman-Habb was easy to talk to and reassuring. I went in for an office visit but had my Pap smear too. She was very transparent about the exam. She’s also the first person to actually teach me how to do a breast exam. She’s knowledgeable of course, but I find many doctors don’t often talk to you about their knowledge. They say things to you and sound condescending or dismissive. But she didn’t do that. She talked through her reasoning and discussed options with me. Definitely recommend IU Health. It seemed very advanced compared to other healthcare systems."
