"We visited February 9, 2024. What a wonderful first experience at this Montgomery Alabama Banfield was wonderful there. My dog who is 9 years old is very nervous about going to the vet...understandable like me with the dentist... but the staff here were very kind and gentle with him right down to the tone of their voices, they spoke and handled him with exceptional care and with me they were wonderful with explaining the details of our visit to me. They weren't harsh to me and wonderful to my pet (had that experience like that in New York) we just moved down here and I was a little concerned about that. This is a very well kept place with good, kind hearted people that takes care of both people and pets. I will DEFINITELY be coming back"

"I had a horrible experience here. I took my new cat in for a “free visit” and wound up paying $150. On top of that I was misled into getting a payment plan to get a surgery done after I agreed to the plan they then explain I would owe another $600 out of pocket. The wellness plan is $80 a month and I have six pets total so if I got the wellness plan for all my pets I would pay $5760 a year on vet expenses alone! Also if you don’t believe me that it is a scam this is from one of their employee’s “This corporate does not care about its employees, clients, or animals. The culture of my current clinic is terrible and has been an ongoing issue for YEARS. The staff is severely underpaid and expected of so many things. The amount of responsibilities that the VA’s have is incredible shocking, especially considering the fact that they do not have to have prior experience or a background in vet med. VA’s at Banfield do nearly the equivalent to what a vet tech does. The vet techs get pushed over and are pushed to the max with their own panels as they arent given extra assistance and expected to do things on their own. Doctors and surgery VA’s hardly get a lunch break. We are overworked and pushed to reach high pet numbers everyday which severely compromises the care of your animals. I, personally, would never ever bring my pet to a Banfield after seeing the type of medical treatment and care that Banfield produces. Everyone is insanely burnt out. Double booking new pets is acceptable as they are attempting to put more pets on wellness plans. Speaking of the wellness plans, that is all that they push for and all that we are praised for. I did not join to sell wellness plans, I joined for the genuine care and love of animals. Please, I beg of you, if you truly love and care for your pet, do not take them here. MARS is a money hungry corporate that doesn’t care about your pet and milks the most out of their employees.”"
