"Customer Service - 5/5 Competitive Pricing - 5/5 Variety/Quality of Equipment - 5/5 In case it benefits anyone else, below is my detailed shopping journey. Regardless, thank you to Chandler for your patience in answering my many questions, your knowledge on the pros/cons with different brands and models, and your friendly and consultative customer engagement with me from the moment I walked into the store. Also, thank you to Garrett for your consultative customer engagement and assistance in my purchase over the phone. I spent 6+ months researching walking pads, then walking pads vs treadmills, then just treadmills. The amount of walking pad brands that exist is insane and the variety of reviews for them is even greater - there is no single brand that consistently ranks high/is a market leader. Even if you only use the pad occasionally, the majority of reviews mention something going south with it within *months* after purchasing - whether that's the motor burning up, electronic components malfunctioning or the deck breaking. While they're cheaper than a treadmill ($150-$500 vs. $800-$6,000), the price difference ends up not being a selling point if you're having to replace the machine within months or having continual maintenance issues. In terms of treadmills, there are ~15 main brands and all of them sell models at different price points. Landice is the top of the line, but imo it's unnecessary to spend that much money unless you're a semi-pro athlete or a very serious runner. Echelon, ProForm, Bowflex and NordicTrack tend to serve the Peloton-type crowd, since they have tons of screen and class options. Precor, Life Fitness and Matrix are generally the big machines you see if you're a member at a local gym aka commercial treadmills. Sole, Horizon, Spirit and True tend to be middle-of-the-road options. I wanted a treadmill that didn't cost >$2K, had low impact on joints and didn't take up a ton of space. Once I consolidated reviews based on these selling points, I focused my in-store shopping on Spirit and True. I ended up going over my budget a little bit to purchase the True TM50 treadmill, because it has a maintenance-free, orthopedic belt."
"The first attempt to come here there was a sign on the door that said they would be back in 15 minutes. The second time I walked in and the man working there was talking to another customer, he didn’t wave or acknowledge me. I stood for a few minutes waiting to ask a specific question and they continued to chat about where each one of them were from, the schools and sports backyards etc. I totally understand being friendly but when another custom is standing and waiting some sort of acknowledgment is best practice. I’ve worked retail so I know that managing multiple customers solo is doable while still providing excellent customer service. I’m a personal trainer and have a home gym-I was definitely looking to make purchases but will have to find another store to do so."
"Garrett and his team were the reason I made my purchase, they were awesome. I had spent months researching treadmills - reading reviews from different sites, watching videos, and talking to other distributors. There was just a lot of information to take in for something I was just learning about. At other locations I felt like I was just trying to be sold something; pitching the best features on model A and also how amazing model B was.. I just didn't feel comfortable. After talking with Garrett, I finally felt like I was being informed rather than sold. He asked what I was looking for/type of use/features I valued and then encouraged me to come into the store and try them out for myself. I was never pushed to purchase, but always encouraged to ask questions. It was great working with G&G Fitness and I encourage anyone else that is lost in the circle of reviews/information stage to give them a call."
"If you are looking for a personalized, friendly, and educational fitness equipment shopping experience, G&G Fitness is the place to go! I started my experience with G&G fitness on their website. I sent an email about what I was looking for, and Garrett (the manager) responded directly. From here, I went to the store and Kaden not only greeted me, but recognized my name/needs as Garrett had told him I would be coming in that day. He talked me through the treadmill options, pros and cons, and I did a quick 0.25 mile test run on my top options. Additionally, Kaden gave me spec sheets on all 4 models so I could do a side-by-side comparison and then told him I would be back. Fast forward about a week, I returned to G&G Fitness and was greeted by Garrett, who also recognized me right away. We talked through my narrowed-down choices, and he provided additional information on the treadmills as well as the manufacturer companies, and told me I could test them out again in store for as long as I needed to feel comfortable. Once I made a purchase decision and was ready to schedule the delivery, the process was super easy and we were able to get on the schedule the very next week. Even better, I really appreciated that his delivery guy also works in the store - the same Kaden we talked to the first time we came in - so he is knowledgeable and cares about the equipment vs some complete rando! In conclusion, I was very impressed with the personal interaction I received from the very beginning, their knowledge about everything in the store, and their unbiased opinions - they were not trying to "push a sale". The end result was a quality treadmill that fits my exact needs. Highly recommend these guys!!"
"My husband and I came in window shopping for home gym equipment. Kaden was very professional and informed in helping us find what we were looking for. Although we didn’t make a purchase at this time, we plan to make our purchases here! The store was clean, organized, and easy to browse. Very happy with the service we received and can’t wait to return. I will tell all my friends and family to shop G&G for their fitness needs!"
