"We had our wedding here and the lady was hard to reach and parking was kind of a mess(which we did know it would be ahead of time but it was cheap compared to other places). The old lady was very rude the day of the wedding because we were drinking more than she thought we should. she put a little 5 gallon bucket near the trash without a sign and expected everyone to automatically know it was for recycling and was constantly digging cans out of the trash for recycling and glaring at us with a disgusted look while we were trying to enjoy our once in a lifetime experience. We had multiple friends and people helping with the wedding said she made many rude remarks to them. Then a bunch of people helped clean up afterwards and she was complaining that multiple people weren't doing something correctly. When we first arrived there we had to pick up tables, chairs, and a podium left out and set up all the tables and chairs ourselves and the floors were dirty. When we left we put everything away and cleaned and swept and she still kept most of our security deposit because of the "extensive cleaning" that was needed. When we emailed her about how we left it in better shape than we got it she told us to "move on". THE REASON SHE WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT RECYCLING WAS BECAUSE THIS WHOLE FACILITY ONLY PAYS TO HAVE 2 TRASH BAGS PICKED UP PER WEEK. idk how many we had but it was probably double or triple that amount at least between dinner and drinks. When my friend was cleaning up he asked where to take the trash and she said "take it home with ya" after throwing a fit because the bag leaked a little bit. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR A WEDDING!!!"
"This is a great place for meetings. Everyone is super friendly and kind. I have been for different events and I love it. Very clean and clean restrooms."
"Love the area and the people. Visited a mineral fair and had a wonderful time."
"I love the work that they do for the cemeteries in Brown County. They were so nice to invite me and my daughter for a cemetery tour of one that I hadn't been able to find. I look forward to meeting up with them again."
"Our annual Gem and Mineral show will be the end of September. It's a Wonderful show. With vendors for multiple States. It's free of charge to browse multiple collections. Mine will be outside on the porch. Just ask anybody there where Turtle at. Yes my name is Turtle. As far as the historical items go. They have a very unique collection of items from surrounding area. The volunteers are very informative on what they present. And are more than happy to answer any questions you have. They have multiple things for sale. You might even have something of interest that you would like to donate to them. So what are you waiting for? Who said you're not going to be interested. You got questions asked everybody there will be more than happy to answer your questions. What you're still reading this go go ....."
