"We hiked a section of the Tecumseh Trail from Prang Pond to Yellowwood Dam, roughly 6-7 miles. There was a light dusting of snow at our start but pretty much all gone by the time we reached the dam. This is a great hike, well maintained and clearly marked. We were the only hikers on the trail, albeit it was overcast and a bit dreary so laybe that is why. There are a few slight inclines, but nothing too serious. You do need 2 vehicles, one parked at each section end or be prepared to double your mileage."
"This is a fall favorite location for some pretty views of the lake and walking through wooded areas. I’ve also run of a few of the October Dino series trail races here and though tough to run, they’ve been so beautiful! The park is dog friendly and trails can be a bit narrow through the trees at places."
"We hiked the yellowwood lake trail. The hiked turned out to be closer to 5 miles. Nice scenery, and the women we talked to at the office was delightful. Macy, the office pup was very friendly. We now know to bring an old pie tin so we can obtain a free same day permit and pan for some gold!"
"Located near other parks in the area like Brown County and McCormick Creek, this park stands out with its unique natural surroundings. The variety of flowers here is particularly impressive, with a range of colorful and special blooms that make this park truly unique. I've included some photos of the wildflowers for reference. The shortest trail around the lake is about 4 miles, but while walking around it, you may not have many views of the lake. However, longer trails are available for horseback riding and biking enthusiasts."
