About the Business
Little Way Montessori School is a unique educational institution located at 108 North Michigan Street in Plymouth, Indiana, United States. Established in August 2019, we offer a Montessori program for children aged 3-6 years old, with a certified lead teacher in early childhood education. Our school focuses on providing a holistic education for the whole child, promoting their natural growth with compassion, respect, and careful observation.
While we are a secular program, our name "Little Way" is inspired by the spirituality of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, emphasizing the importance of simple trust, acceptance, and love in everyday moments and interactions. We believe that even the smallest tasks and encounters hold value and should be approached with attention and care.
At Little Way Montessori School, we strive to cultivate a sense of dignity and self-acceptance in our students, recognizing their worth and potential. Our commitment to faithfulness and love in all aspects of life, big or small, sets us apart as an institution dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of each child in our care. "We love this school! Marcy and Misty are excellent teachers adept at cultivating a child’s natural interests. Since starting at Little Way, my little one has learned to slice food with a child safe knife at snack time, practices putting on his own socks and shoes, and has developed a love for music and playing instruments. The age that this school is aimed for, between ages 2 1/12 to 6, is a critical age for development and what better investment in your child’s future than a Montessori education."
"I chose Little Way Montessori School because as a mother I wanted an enriching experience allowing my children to develop an early love of education. The teachers are patient, nurturing, and able to adapt to the needs of each student. Miss Marcy is always willing to take the time to work with her students and give them whatever individual attention they might need. My children feel safe and cared for every day and look forward to going to school. The Montessori teaching style allows my children to discover what they are capable of and gives them the confidence they need to learn new skills. My children love the physical activities provided to build their strength and coordination. They are able to climb, jump, and other activities which help them constructively use their bountiful energy. Helping prepare healthy snacks for the class is also a favorite. They love learning about new foods and getting the opportunity to taste new flavors. My children love learning life skills that they can take with them into the future. My youngest loves to wash the dishes and has learned how to put on her own coat and shoes giving her the independence to get ready for the day. My oldest has benefitted greatly from the social skills she has developed and is much more comfortable meeting new people. Little Way Montessori has given my children a love of education. The school has provided them a safe and healthy environment to learn about themselves, how to play well with others, and a little about the world around them. They are excited each day to see their friends and spend time with their fantastic teachers, Miss Marcy and Miss Taylor."
"This is a very well rounded school. Teaching children the basic fundamentals of life is definitely what gravitated my husband and I. Marcy has the most gentle soothing approach. I would recommend to anyone who likes small groups with hands on activities."
"If you’re looking for a preschool that is different from the traditional learning approach and allows your child to learn at their pace and according to their interests, this is the place! From practical life skills to creative movement to outside play, my son has so much fun at Little Way! The growth we’ve seen this year has been incredible. If your child is 2.5-6, consider learning more."
"I have three preschoolers that attend Little Way. They are enthusiastic about their classroom, friends, and teachers. The Director, Marcy, and her assistant, Fabi, work wonderfully together to ensure a quality experience. I'm very thankful to have this unique classroom setting available to my little ones."
