"RUN AWAY! Read the lease carefully. This place expects you to pay top rent and you provide a lot of the inside maintenance. You might end up dealing with all the things the previous renter did not deal with, like we did. The property’s manager is the owner’s daughter and she is rarely available when you have any questions or issues and she selectively responds to phone calls, texts and e-mails. There are no regular management office hours. They have been trying to sell this place for a quite a while and obviously do the very minimum in maintenance just to keep up appearances. Don’t be fooled by a coat of paint! There is nowhere to park - you are not allowed to park on the street. They offer short-term leases and people are moving in and out constantly. The driveways are so close together, it is even difficult to find a place for your trash and recycle containers to sit on trash day. They say the community is "gated", but everyone and their brother has the code. We noticed some homeless people living in the woods around this community. When we moved in, the disposal didn’t work, the timer on the stove was broken, the refrigerator sporadically sounded like a jet engine, we replaced at least 15 light bulbs within 3 months of moving in, we replaced the batteries in the ceiling fan remotes, light switches and electrical receptacles did not work, both the washer and dryer had to be repaired or replaced, the basement door was hanging by one hinge, we found broken glass and pieces of artificial greenery in the carpet, the dishwasher leaked, the tile grout was filthy, the toilet seats were so stained, they looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years, the trash pullout in the kitchen was falling off the bracket. They addressed some of these issues, but it took many visits from their onsite maintenance and they just put a band-aid on it. They charged us for a carpet cleaning fee when we moved out, even though the carpets were obviously not cleaned before we moved in. It took us multiple phone calls and e-mails over a 2 week period to try to get the manager to meet us at the unit after we had moved out to do a final walk thru. We were even on our way for our scheduled meeting and she called and cancelled and then we had to chase her down again before she would meet with us. Then, we were held hostage for an hour and a half while she went thru her checklist and made notes before we could leave. RUN!"
